My collection of Heteractis magnificas

Peter I am glad you like it. The base is a maroon color collected out of Kenya Africa. He is hiding cause he had a fight with the powerhead and lost.

Love the purple tentacle one! What color is the base, and what location did it come from?

Flakey, I will try and get a video for you. I can tell you the Mags love and I mean love flow. I am working on getting some more flow in that tank.

wow thats quite an intense green you got there, how about a video to see it in motion? Or is that asking too much ??

Not bad Jared, keep up the good work and one day when you grow up you can be like me!:lmao:

This one is growing on me. He is an African with longer thin tentacles. Purple base.

Nap time...u can see the base.

This other African has a nice red base.

Interesting! The only ones I've seen with those colored tentacles have been orange based...

That's a beauty Minh! My girlfriend would love that one!

Antonio, you are right about the flow, they love high flow and a lot of light.

You surely do have a beautiful collection of Mags. I plan to cull until I get some beauties..

In short yes I have cut them.

There is a process though Jared. If the mag isn't 100 percent settled you will kill them. Vivid aquariums tried to cut theirs and killed it.

Wow, that's crazy!

Hmm...mags and gigs go down fast and hard.

I better not try.

I have a gig down in tx tank for 3rd time now. Got another healthy mag that is starting to gape his mouth open.

I think they may be reacting to each other. Have 5 mags, RBTA, Sebae, Haddoni, and Gig all in same tank right now. Or were anyway, until they got sick.

Jared, it's been my experience that sick anemones can spread to healthy anemones. I would hold off on adding any new ones.

If any of the nems look suspect yank them out immediately and treat for awhile.

Keep the gig in the treatment tank longer instead of putting them in the dt too soon.

Roger that!

I'm sure you are right about that.

My Sebae got sick today which was weird, because he's never been sick.

Stuck him in QT with sick gig that was getting better, and he got him worse in a couple of hours. Deflated, mouth open again, foot not grabbing and just limp.

Arr...
