When we went down the stairs into the basement, you could see how all the rooms were studded out. One day it will be amazing down there. This is the view of the wall where the plasma tv will go.
FYI, he's had the plasma in the box since LAST Thanksgiving, because he knows once it is set up, he'll stop working on his home. I don't think I could possibly wait a year without hooking it up. And he's still not ready to see it yet.
Here's his new acrylic 400g bowfront tank. It was huge. The steel stand looked very sturdy. He plans to tile the front of the wall, and add some access doors above the tank.
Not pictured, but also in the basement is a whirlpool jet bathtub. My guess that is for his wife.
The two steel uprights could be removed to insert this full-length sump.
And finally, we all noticed this thing hanging above our heads. It was the chiller, mounted to the floor joists. It cools the reef upstairs.
