Perhaps it was sick... The location of the gig is near the glass pane. The tang regularly swam next to it to grab the percula food. Maybe the percs got ****ed and pushed it in.
The interesting part was the slow digestion... The Gig took its time. Even as the tail disappeared, the Gig would jerk sporadically with the struggle from the dying tang. This took well over an hour. By the morning I had a whole skeleton with much flesh still attached. In the afternoon the Gig was bigger than it ever was.
Thought it was time for an update. This gig is simply awesome. Bullet proof in a stable environment. The percs have grown as well and their black has filled in nicely.
The current FTS compared to the FTS at start of this thread. Not quite where I'd like it, but on its way. The corals have suffered set backs but are now experiencing good growth. This angle you cant see the gig, only its reflection in the right bottom corner. From that position the gig gets a full blast of mid morning to noon sun... hasnt moved since.
Conrad... Thank you! Ill put it this way, yes the silicon job is second rate. Would I pay somebody 500 to 1000 or more to fix it? Of course not. But thats about as much as I saved buying a GC tank. I never notice it anymore.
Sounds good and thanks for replying on that as I will be making a larger tank purchase for a second tank in the future and am still deciding on whom I will be considering for the purchase. I def. will be getting another couple of gigs slowely in the future when I have the other tank added to the system. True addiction at its finest..... lol gotta love the treasure chest full of money we all look at in awe always. The green gig def pop's with its color
Update: Perculas are mature and have started to exhibit mating behavior. The female is around 3.5" and always fat. Male is maybe 3". They will bite. Gig has grown as well.
That is one nice green Gigantea. I love the color.
I am getting a Green Gigantea after the holiday, I hope it will have color similar to your's.
Right now I have two. Here are pictures of the two I have right now:
Wow M, those are nice gigs with clowns... but check out this surprise today. I knew they were acting frisky of late... I hope that cyano doesnt grow over the clutch.
