Myka's 69 SPS Tank 2015

Very pretty anthias.. Not terribly shy.
I'm not sure about their track record in captivity.. I don't think that are on the 'do not survive in captivity' list.
But I don't think they are super easy either..

Glad the die off has stopped!

Well, only one Anthias showed up. So I guess it's a loner. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow along with a Pintail Wrasse. :D

Two great additions!! I absolutely love pintails.

I'm really happy things are starting to look up for you and your tank. I have to admit I was happy to hear your trachyphyllia made it out okay, yours inspired me to want one. :p

I'm pretty excited about the Pintail! I've been asking my LFS to find me one for almost a year. He's ordered them a few times, but they never show up. After the Pintail I'll add one more wrasse I think, I'm just not sure which one.

Current stock:

2x Onyx Clownfish (breeding pair) - Thing One and Thing Two
Pajama Cardinal - Redeye
Royal Gramma - Francis
Yellow Coris (H chrysus) - new (Snoopy?)
2x Panamic Barnacle Blenny - Streaker and Flash
Pintail Wrasse (soon to be added)
Red Saddled Anthias (soon to be added, will try to get 2 more)
Cleaner Shrimp - Frank
Blood Shrimp - Bloody Mary

On the (possibility) list:

Candy Basslet (I may opt for C earlei instead which is kinda similar coloring)
Bella Sleeper Goby pair (V. bella)
Blue Spot Jawfish (may not get on with Bellas, so might skip this guy)
One more wrasse? C earlei?
Yellowtail Damsel pair (hey! I like them!)

So I got the Pintail Fairy Wrasse and the Red Saddled Anthias into my QT yesterday. Today they are both eating frozen Cyclopeeze (not going for Mysis yet). The Pintail is a female that's starting to transition. She's a beauty, but very shy right now. Let me tell you though, this Anthias is STUNNING. I found a pic that looks as close to mine as possible. I can't wait to get these beauties in my display!

Not my pic:

I'm treating the Anthias and new Pintail with PraziPro, and the Anthias is not dealing well. I've half a mind to just FW dip it and add it to the display.

This next one is a wild Aussie mini colony. I'm not sure how it will do, but I am hoping it will be ok. It looks like it will be a stunner. It has a green/teal base to it and bluish tips. It didn't like the Bayer dip.

This one I think looks like a spath, but I think it is a Bali piece which makes me think it must be papillare. I sent an email to the LFS to find out where it came from. It also didn't like the Bayer dip. It was much brighter.

Wonderful pics and colors on those acro frags Mindy, looks like everything is going very well

I love that aussie colony!
Have 1-2 aussie pieces too in my tank but can't bring back the colors they had when i bought them:(
You've some great photo skills too:beer:

Hey, let's not jinx it yet! ;) The frags have only been in there since Sunday. I don't think there are any issues at this point - just the old frags that went through hell.

Mindy nice stuff, my guess would be A.papillare on that piece as well.

Thanks Greg. The LFS said it same in from Bali as A. aspera which I could believe too. Probably have to see how it grows out - it's just a stick with some nubbins right now. Actually, I have two. They came on the same mariculture plug.

Thanks, me too! Wild corals are challenging though! That's my $200 camera taking those macros. They aren't as good this time around though.

Very nice pics and even better looking frags

Thank you. $200 camera ftw. :D

Mindy those are some great looking frags, the first is definitely my favorite of the lot but they are all stunning.

Those frags look great Mindy, nice color and very healthy. I am always a little bit envious of all these great pics with awesome polyp extension, mine look like that in my frag tank, but once they go into my DT, and my 5 pygmy angles start to look them over, the polyps are retraced pretty good going forward.

That one I picked up for a friend and I'm kicking my own butt that I didn't grab the second copy of it for myself, though he promised me a frag as soon as it grows. :)

I hear you! In my old reef I had a Flame Angel, and he nipped all the Acros. This time around I decided I liked PE better than Angels, and I'm more into wrasses now anyway. The frags have better PE now, I moved them up onto that rack to take pics, so the polyps weren't fully out.

Nice corals, pictures are very nice, wish I could take them as well as you. I just got a Bali mari piece that looks like your papillare. I have it high getting blasted by my T5's and it is bright blue with some yellow on the inside edge of some corallites, really looking nice so far. It is maybe 10 inches from my lights.Your tank looks great.

Nice shots!
I like the first one with the blue body and burgundy polyps.
Looks like that wild Aussie colony has major potential.

 At least there should be a frag for you in the future, and regardless you got some beautiful pieces.
