New AquaController 3/3 Pro Firmware

Has anyone had their pH Graph stop working? It's was working fine for me, but now only the Temp and ORP graphs show up. The pH Graph gets stuck at the "Initializing..." screen.

I've tried power cycling the headunit, but that didn't change anything.

Thanks!

aalhait,
6 is the hard limit of the AquaNotes graphing library.

qfrisco,
I haven't seen this problem - it sounds like flash on the browser is hung. If the problem presists after starting a new browser, and rebooting your PC, please email support@neptunesys.com, the datalog xml file.

Curt

Thanks, Curt! It looks like it was a browser issue. My pH graph works fine now, along with the Temp and ORP graphs.

I have had ZERO problems since going back to 60 min logging , been running for days. I feel like trying 15min logging again.

My graphs quit working this morning after working smoothly since I flashed the beta version just after it was released (nearly 2 weeks, though I haven't updated it to the latest version). Acted as if it was loading the data, got the progress bar, but then got a yellow text box saying there was an error. Closed out the browser and a little while later logged back in and looks like the ACIIIP rebooted, no data in the datalog except for the most recent (one data point). There was no power failure that I could detect based on the lighting going off.

...reading previous posts it looks like Lutefisk experienced the same thing (though I log the standard 60 min. interval)... guess this was fixed with the F rev., looks like a good time to update.

I've had it on 30 minutes for about a week now with no issues. It's pretty sweet.

After the unexplained datalog reset I've been logging at 15 minute intervals since 22:30:00 4/30/2009. We'll see what happens when it when the data log fills and the FIFO data routines need to kick in.

I think the old firmware would store 1024 data points - or something like that. If that is true the data log would fill in 10 2/3 days; we're still a ways off from that.

I log at 10 minute intervals and no issues (other than it takes a VERY long time to load the XML form (but it is a LOT of data).

Running 10 minute logging interval, zero issues.

Then there might be something else that has caused several of us to have data resets. My reset apparently happened during or near to web access - nothing like changing the clock etc.

I was also using web access when my AC3P wouldn't graph, then on my next login via the web a half hour later found it had reset. I'm going to update to the F rev tonight. I had been loggin 1 hour intervals since 4/23 prior to the reset, everything running smoothly without a glitch. Prior to flashing the beta I never had a reset (battery backup) not administered by myself (2 or 3 years worth of logging), giving me a strong suspicion it is the beta firmware that is, or was, a bit unstable. To be expected, and even then, I'd grade it beta+.

I've been running the F version since my reset. The install went great and everything has been functioning just fine.

Only issue I am seeing, is that with the iphone app, when I try and do a manual off on a device, it does not work.

I have the exact same problem and z"igzag" suggestion was to wait for the APP update . It may solve the problem.

Me too. manual off on a device and not working for me.

I have a AC3 pro

I have a AC3 pro

I have a AC3 pro I would love to have you test using it, but I have never been able to get access to it via the web or get it to send emails for that matter. My AC3 sends emails no problem and they are both set that same and on the same network.
All this talk makes me afraid to even try to update them. The ACs really do need to be easier to update and network. Otherwise I love them.
I am computer savy, but not very good at networking. Although I set up and mantained my business network and server with less time and effort then I have spent trying to get my AC3Pro set up.

The AC3's XML was so easy to work with that I just threw away the convoluted PHP code I'd written for working with XML from that 'other controller', and started off clean.

Bravo Zulu to Curt and the rest of Neptune gang for formatting the XML properly and sensibly!

If anyone wants PHP code that cleanly parses the new AC3 XML status data, I have posted my quick & dirty code for download here.

Example using a HTML table
Example using a dynamic PNG image

Both examples work in real-time, and use the same XML parsing; only the display of the status data is different. I didn't put much effort into cosmetics, as these are intended simply as samples. If you can work in PHP, you can modify it to your heart's content.

This should also work fine w/ the AC3pro, but I have not tested it as such. If anyone is willing to let me test against their 3Pro, please PM me.

If you want to help test the latest firmware for the AC3 or AC3Pro, then read on. Don't expect this release to be perfect - that is why it is a beta release. I recommend that you wait for the final release if for any reason you are not comfortable putting beta firmware in your controller.

This firmware has significant improvements, and the new features include:
- Flash based graphing application
- RSS, and XML web pages added.
- new web page for configuration of network settings.
- allow feed cycles to be started from web page.
- initial select press does not cancel feed cycle
- enhanced support for the iPhone AquaNotes app.

The links are not working. Tried to surf to updates but they do not seem to be anywhere on the site?

Last night, while I had a graph open in one tab and the status table open in another, my ACIII locked up using the 4F09 firmware.

This has never caused a problem before, even with this version of the firmware and hasn't cause a problem since.

Symptoms: The ACIII stopped responding over the local net in my house (accessing it through the IP address). I then went to the aquarium and the screen on the ACIII was frozen on the status display. I could hit the select, up and down keys all I wanted and nothing change.

Remedy: I unplugged both the battery backup and the power and then powered it back up.

This is the first time this has ever happened to me.

It's working perfectly right now.
