I picked up some new frags true Oregon tort, Ora tort , pink lemonade, pink white blue unknown and Hawkins echinata. My question is what is the best placement for the Hawkins echinata? The rest I am fine with just don't know about this one.
Thanks

I have mine midway up the tank and directly below 250w radiums. Seems to like it there with good color. I have seen them at the top under 400w radiums and they were a deeper blue than mine.

I have mine near the bottom. I think a lot of these "deepwater" corals do well with less light and flow but can be acclimatized to higher. But my preference is to keep the high light areas for my more demanding light loving only acros.

I had mine halfway up a 24" tank with my radions . It started turning green I have since lowered it to a partially shaded area and the blue is back to looking electric.

I have my hawkins off to the side a little bit at about 15" below my radions. Under slightly lower light conditions, it gives off a great blue/green look. The torts and pink lem will take all the light you want to give them, though IME you will get better colors out of the pink lem if it is mid level. Good luck!
