Question.... the 12 Gallon Nano that I want to use for my Dart Frogs still has a little of the calcium build up in it from when I had it as a saltwater tank. Do you think that will hurt anything?
Ohh and in that pic of the 12 gallon at the Critter, what is that climbing vine in the back?
that sucks. Remember you can get a 20H, 20L, or 29 for a $1 a gal. Sale ends Sun. I'm thinkin' about gettin' a 29 and resetup. I have plenty of substrate. Just have to make a new background and will use the plants from the 10 gal.
I like Johns method. I'm probably gonna pick up a couple pieces of the cork tiles (flat pieces of cork made for the exo terra terrariums). Double sided velcro worked well on attaching the tree fern panel so I might do it that way. The new background, I plan to use brown wire ties and drill holes in the tile to attach smaller pieces of mopani wood to attach air plants too. I then plan to hide the ties (if very noticiable) with moss. I read some people use the moss around air plants anyways...
The tree fern panel I used in the 10 is nice but really messy. It sheds the pine like needles...
i dont know. They say to do a 1-2" bedding of gravel or hydroton under a 2" bedding (seperated by screen). And the water level should be about a 1/2" under the soil. That's to keep the bedding and plants roots from bein' soaked.
