well, i lost every single battle for a ritteri from dd. to be exact almost. my last one was a victory

so i turned to some lfs and there's a store very reputable for bringin in the big apple good ritteri with good size

my onyx+picasso couple jumped:mad2::mad2::mad2: things goin from bad to worse

so i picked up 3 skunk clownfish and quarantine it with the ritteri

it def needs treatment so ht'd already

here is a flash pic with iphone

its orange base, purple tentacles and yellow tips

nice score. i assume you have med ready just in case. Just in case you have to treat, which med do you plan on treating? Septra or Cirpo?

Good luck! While there are others here with more experience with these animals than I (though perhaps not longer), I have kept enough of them to know that they can look great one minute and like hell the next. A healthy mag will shrink a bit at night, but should never deflate.

Yup. Not in case but in need. The store was good but the ritteri in bad shape as usual featuring loose mouth and half deflated body

What you saw in the pic was the outcome after 3 hrs treatment. I have both at hand but usually start with cipro

in the first few months sustainin a mag is exactly a ridin of roller coaster, lots of ups and downs and turns

its mouth now closed

I really love your skunk trio. I'd love to see a picture of the base. I owned a truly orange based mag years ago. Unfortunately it didn't make it. Back then I didn't realize how rare it was. I haven't seen one since and hope you are able to get yours healthy.

If i were you i would remove the clowns while the nem is trying to fight an infection or recovering in treatment

I guess they are quite helpful cleanin up the rat poop and stringy things constantly. I didn't ht'd clowns with mags before and always had to hand blew em off

Very cool coloration. Looks pretty good in those pictures. Is it still doing the inflate-deflate-pancake thing? My sense is that once you start seeing the 'folds' in the top that it's on the road to recovery.

It's never been so bad as completely dried up flat. But it's half detached, no stinky tentacles and half of em deflated, and a very very bad mouth

This is one advantage over purchases from dd that I can check it on the spot so I prepared up the ht and then got it and put it directly into it

The vendor is very reputable for anemone and has a quite stable supply of em. I should dig deeper to see what the big apple has to offer. I totally underestimate out lfs
