I replaced the needle wheel impeller on the 4x(sedra 9000 pump) after about 5 years of use. The 4xx( sedra 1500 pump) has been going over 2yrs. Both are performing well without issues or maintenance.

Glad you like the puddle.

This set up is amazing. Makes me think of that jingle.... If i had a million dollors..... Great work though. symply amazed with how everything comes together.

That look awesome!!! I hope someday my 125 gal will look as good as just 1 of yours!!!! Nice job and you inspire me :-)

Every time this thread pops up there's one thought that comes to mind: "What a perfect example of a carefully built, solidly founded, methodically maintained system."

Tom, my apologies. I'm just realizing you asked me this. I live in Laureton Estates, which borders Rosedale and Valley Stream. I actually grew up in Brooklyn.

Hi Jonathan,

Spent a lot of time in Brooklyn. Lived in Greenpoint when I was very young. Went to high school near the old navy yard. Bishop Loughlin MHS. I was an avid Brooklyn Dodger fan as a youngster .

Hey Tom,

You wouldn't believe how Greenpoint has changed. It is is a real hang-out spot now.. New Apartments and Lofts everywhere... Restaurants and lounges galore.. Wow, I can only imagine what it was like when then Dodgers were in BK.. It was way before my time, but It's a shame Branch's vision of a new stadium in BK never materialized... From what I gather, the Dodgers were the people's team. There's an apartment complex and college where there old stadium once sat.

It was all about baseball back then. I saw my first ever game as a youngster at Ebbets Field. I couldn't believe how big the field was or how green and colorful it was. We only had a little black and white tv back then. During the world series afternoon games between the Yankees and Dodgers the game was actually pumped into the classrooms at school via the public address system. I'd rush home to watch the rest of it with my Dad. My uncle once took me to a deli across the street and I had my first taste of deli sandwiches. Nice memories.

My folks had an apartment in a walkup multi family row house when I lived in Greenpoint in the late 40's and early fifties. Housing and household appliances were hard to come by right after WW2 when my Dad returned and married my mother. So the apartment was impecably clean , plain and sparse but it was a great and loving home with no shortage of toys for me and my baby sister.
