Thanks guys, the skimmer was recovering after work last night, but then I added a second reactor with carbon. Down she went again.
It's looking a little better this morning. I should be up to normal foaming again by tomorrow. Next time I'll valve them in a little more slowly.

Just got the rps 1000 today. I am using a maxijet 1200 for the feed pump but it seems it is making to much turbulence. Any suggestions?

Trips, what size bit did you use to bore out the venturi? I assume the 1000 has the 90 degree bend in the pipe like the 2000 does. I'm not able to picture exactly what you've done. I'm not experiencing any real issues w/ mine, but I think it would be valuable for the thread.

I really think my RPS3000 is not functioning properly... I looked at my bubbles last night after cleaning it, and they were WAY too big, the pics I see you guys posting showed bubbles size of ball point pen tip going all the way up the column... mine are much larger, especially half way up

I just went to octopusskimmer.com (AKA-marinesolutions) and bought the 3000 RC. They have the best prices that I have found. This thing is huge and looks to be well made.
I have a spare turbo pump from a red sea berlin skimmer that I am thinking of using for the feed pump. Do you guys think this pump will work as a feed pump?
