Norwegian 133G Zeovit Reef

Here's an update. The corals are getting better and the colours are starting to improve!

The Acropora Microclados is growing. The tips are finally starting to look like a SSC!

The second Acropora Microclados frag is getting less light and is much darker.

Acropora Spathulata is finally turning back to peach/pink.

I'm really happy with this frag!

Acropora sp. My favorite Acropora in this setup.

The largest Acropora Microclados frag. Ridiculous PE with Zeovit..

Acropora Sarmentosa. The frag is looking better. I hope the polyps get back the red-ish colour the mother colony had when I got it.

The Acropora Awi is looking really good now.

Acropora Turaki. Sorry for the poor picture.

This is what's left of the Acropora Anthocercis colony.

Acropora sp. frag. This is very similar with an Acropora Multiacuta I had in the previous setup.

Here's a frag of a blue/white Acropora Microclados. Hasn't coloured up yet.

Finally a picture of something else than Acropora. Fungia sp from Australia.

New fish today! I had a Centropyge Loricula in my previous setup and lost the fish with an Ich/Oodinium outbreak a couple of years ago. When I saw this one I just had to buy it. I've missed the bright colour of this beautiful fish!

I also brought home an Acanthurus Japonicus and a Halichoeres Melanurus Female (Hoevens wrasse).

Andreas, your corals are looking better and better.
You mentioned Zeo.. i forget, have you been using Zoe from the beginning or did you just start?
I love your new fish. They may help bring even more colours to your corals..
Your favorite coral is mine, as well. The blue on it is amazing!

Thanks Matt :)

I started using Zeo in June. But I haven't been able to do it 100% before this last three months. It didn't help that I forgot to refill my balling+ in Nov/Dec either. Balling+ isn't recommended with Zeovit, but for now it works fine for me.

It was about time to fill up the tank with more fish. It looks way more alive now. Currently I have these fishes in the tank:

  • Acanthurus Japonicus (Powder Brown Tang)
  • Amphirion Ocellaris ORA Black Ice and Snowflake
  • Centropyge Loricula (Flame Angel)
  • Elactinus Oceanops (Neon Goby)
  • Halichoeres Chrysus (Yellow Wrasse)
  • Halichoeres Melanurus Female (Hoeven's Wrasse)
  • Neocirrhites Armatus (Flame Hawkfish)
  • Paracanthurus Hepatu (Blue Tang)

I want a couple of Anthias too. But I haven't found the ones I want yet.

The Blue Acropora is a special one. It's the only Acropora that haven't lost all its colour in the struggle here. It was brighter when I got it from Australia. Looked like this last year.

Edit: Thanks ryanrid :)

How is dosage scheduling now? Could you also post your sump pictures?

Here's my weekly schedule:

800-900ml Zeolith in reactor + 500ml activated carbon

Mon: 1ml Zeostart + 5 drops Sponge Power + 4 drops Amino Acids HC
Tue: 1ml Zeostart + 5 drops Sponge Power
Wed: 1ml Zeostart + 5 drops Sponge Power + 5 drops Zeobak
Thu: 1ml Zeostart + 5 drops Sponge Power + 4 drops Coral Vitalizer
Fri: 1ml Zeostart + 5 drops Sponge Power + 4 drops Amino Acids HC
Sat: 1ml Zeostart + 5 drops Sponge Power + 5 drops Zeobak
Sun: 1ml Zeostart + 5 drops Sponge Power + 4 drops Coral Vitalizer

I also add these after coloration/sporadic choice: A-Balance, B-Balance, K-Balance, Pohls Xtra.

I'm also going to start with Zeospur, but will wait a bit before I try this. It's a scary additive hehe :)

Balling+: 130 ml pr day of Mg, Kh and Ca.

I think I like it better now.. Deeper, more rich colour of blue.
Very nice.

I agree :)
