OT: Lost a friend tonight

A little while ago, we had to put down our 15 year old Lhasa Poo. She was among the most annoying dogs we've ever owned. She was under our feet at all the wrong times. Her bark was like nails on a chalk board. She ate too much, woke us up at all the wrong times, and was often a grouch.

We loved her and will miss her terribly.

RIP Daisy!

It was difficult but we knew it was time. We currently have two other dogs that we also love.

Once we receive Daisy's ashes, we intend to bring them, along with Stoli's, to the dog park where both of them were happiest. Not a bad place to spend eternity. If you're ever at the Chapparal Dog Park and you see a little lhasa poo and a big black poodle running together, give them a wave.

I lost my first dog a few years back. Rylie, my Keeshound. I was devastated. Like SABOB says, they are family members.

Allen, sorry to hear of your loss. I have went through that terrible process twice. I'm sure she had a wonderful life and brought many happy memories. JP

So sorry for your loss. It never gets easier but they are worth every bit.
We have lost 12 geriatric pets in the last 7 years ourselves. The last one was only 3 weeks ago. I am still getting used to not having anyone on medication & not having an IV pole as part of the normal living room furniture. Each & every one is a treasure & blessing in our lives. People who don't get that have missed out big time.

Very sorry for your loss. I never gets any easier with the more pets (or dogs) you own throughout life. I had to deal with the same thing about a year ago with my Boxer...still miss her more than most dogs I've owned and lost. She will always be one of my favorites.

I hope you and your family are doing ok moving forward. They really do make a difference in your day to day life. I couldn't ever be without a dog resting at my feet when I'm sitting at home.

Thanks again for all of the kind words. We still have two dogs, an Old English Sheepdog and a Labradoodle that give us great joy.
