OT: WOO HOO I finally got a job...

Well Robert Half Tech. finally came through, and i have a job starting tomorrow and lasting for about 5 days. I also just got hooked up with Whitney Oaks golf course to do their on call IT work! What a relief, unemployment was about to run out, and the wife and kids were starting to drive me crazy. I can't wait to get out of the house again.

Plus with Bobby and Ed back to work i was feeling a little lonely sitting at home browsing the forums all day.

I used to work for RHIC (Robert Half Int. Consulting) about 9-10 years ago. Pretty nice consulting company. I started in their Walnut Creek office, moved on to Okaland, then to San Francisco. Worked for them about two years. I even spent some time at their headquarter in Pleasanton. Back then, if you consult for them every 3 months you got an extra pay check. Kinda like a bonus. Not sure if they still do that though.

CHP status: it sounds like i passed the QAP interview (although no confirmation yet) and i'm off to backgrounds. If i make it past the background check i'm basically off to the academy.

hehe, nice job matt!! Todays my first day, w00t! I have to start at 11:00pm for a service call, but hey, its work baby! Haha, sorry to leave you by your self at the forums, if you need support, ill be here for ya :lol:.

congrats on the job, I've been back to work for one week now myself, 60-70 hrs a week is a pain at my age! Don't let your baby grow up to be a truck driver for gods sake!

Well that went well. It was a little slow and boring, but it felt good to be out of the house and doing something productive. Only problem is that this job is only scheduled to last for about 3 to 5 days. I got 5 of the 13 computers done yesterday, but from what i understand most of the employees are never in the office, so it could drag out longer.

I could send some teenagers over to download crap on the pc's , that'll give you a lifetime job fixin that.
