Our 400 Gallon In Wall Natural Sun-Lit Reef"

I like the groep of Nemateleotris magnifica very much. Hou long did you have that group in there already?

I don't have anything else planned yet, I might stop by a friends bar on South Beach thats about it.

If you want we are going to BBQ, drink some beer (or soft drinks) and talk reefing.
PM me if you would like a phone number or directions.

hey bro, I read your entire forum and I must say the tank is superb! I'm new to reefing and learned quite a lot from you! I'm deeply sorry for your lost, much love and respect from the Caribbean!!

I made my first post on this thread back in December when your wife went ill. I am so sorry for your loss. She is in a place where no illness and evil can ever touch her, in heaven and your heart.

Thank you! I'm honored to have your first post on my build thread. Welcome to Reef Central your new extended reefing family!

Thank you!

I read through this thread in January when i was planning my 180. Between buying a house, a new job and setting up the 180, it dropped off my radar. Now almost 8 months later i revisit it and read through with a heavy heart. I think that this thread shows that with all the pain your wife went through, she was still able to sit in front of and enjoy the tank. Hopefully it eased the pain and took her to another place mentally. I know that my most tranquil place is sitting in front of my tank listening to the water flow. Should you ever need any help of any kind, I would be honored to lend a hand and please do not hesitate to ask.
I would say some of us are more like Reefing Brothers than Reefing buddies.

Had a blast at MACNA glad I was able to add faces to so many of the screen names that have passed by this thread. See you all next year in Denver!

Thank you for the continued support everyone!

When I started out on our journey to build and design 'Our Natural Sun-Lit Reef' I never imagined I would have this type of following. The new friends I've made along the way in the reefing community and all of the wonderful comments give me great happiness, I'm truly touched by all of the caring words.

I've been working very hard at trying to keep everything going. I have been setting new goals to achieve with work and home. When Kelly first passed away I really had no idea what I was going to do, so I tried to do everything I could everyday and by the end of the day I was passing out from exhaustion.

With my new learning curve I have been balancing whats important and whats not, so out went the daily house cleaning, and cooking. I really don't mind the floating hair bunnys all over the floor my dog "Stella" makes and takeout is so much more fun, and no dishes to wash. I started writing a journal and even started writing poetry, during some of my dark times is surly has helped lift my spirits.

The tank is doing great! The Moorish Idol has adjusted very well, and eats everything I put in! I have been collecting new parts for some system electronics and I started talking with a solar expert, I still have plans to put the whole system on a solar electric grid.

Please reconsider the take-out food. All that salt and grease in your diet is doing you a great deal of harm whether you know it or not. Try fresh locally sourced food that doesn't require much preparation and give up the over-rich stuff.

From one who knows,

he didn't say Chinese take-out...lol i am sure he gets one or two Subway sandiwches in there for good measure.lol

lol I had Chinese for the first time in 3 months on Friday. Mostly do grilled chicken or pasta from Carrabbas with a Caesar salad

LOL, I used to work for Outback and Carrabbas, their food tastes so damn good because it is cooked with bacon fat and nothing skim or "light". and we all know Ceasar salad dressing is bad but tastes so damn good. probably worse than Chinese..lol!
