Not at all, but just to put things in perspective. People will pay 200-300 for a purple tang. I would never even dream of paying that much for that fish, when I see them at certain places for 75-100 at least 3 times a year. I believe the price for these flashers are a steal compared to other more easily obtainable fish. But people will overpay when they don't do their homework. I believe it went over your head tactics. Supply and demand only works when you shop with blinders. Go ask the guy in CT trying to sell his 300 DD setup for 7 grand. It includes the tank, monetary stand and canopy. The guy paid 10grand for it because he shops at one particular place. Meanwhile the same setup can be had for 2500 brand new if he shopped 20 minutes further.
I also would have paid more. Wife would have looked at me even funnier than she did after this purchase though. 
She did have one good point though. While I think this is without a doubt the prettiest flasher out there is it five or six times as pretty as the McCoskers which I also love? Can't say it is.
Now back to the actual fishes we all got. Would you say that you got a terminal phase male or initial phase? I definitely got a terminal phase.

I'm happy to have a conversation over fish pricing and economics but your argument can't be solely based on someone "overpaying" because they didn't do their homework. I'm sorry but economics doesn't work that way. Supply and demand is invisible so blinders don't play a role.
There's no such thing as "overpaying" for an item. As long as that item satisfies your need, then it was worth the purchase. Let's say there's a big hurricane and your local hardware store increased the price of their generators by 50%. Even if you paid that premium, you did it because you needed it and, thus, it was worth it.
Which brings us back to your attenuatus purchase. You spent $250. Would you have spent $260 and been just as happy with your purchase? Yes, you would be. And now here's a fish that the retailer under priced by at least $10.
The only way to determine if a fish is overpriced is if it doesn't sell - i.e. the Interrupta angel currently on DD for $3,000.
That's checkmate.

It's a shame that some of you have to bicker on here, perhaps it may be time to pull the panties out of your ..... as it appears they may be riding up a bit.

Same here. Should color up more.
I had mine in an acclimation box for 7 days. No QT (I know, don't hate me). Seemed fully recovered from the shipping and no aggression from tank mates so put him in the tank yesterday. Doesn't flash much but he certainly had an affect on my McCoskers. That guy has been flashing like never before. The Attenuatus is eating like a horse and seems to be doing fine. He does swim with a head up attitude sometimes. Not sure if this is normal or not.
