percs on copepods, frozen rots, and bbs.

Sounds like it's your parents that need the luck :D

well when we came back all the clown are dead.

as is the male of my bangais (he finaly succumbed to his parasite, i assume, he was bleeding analy when i left:eek1:)

anyway, the clowns will lay again soon i hope, they sure are cleaning the rock a lot.

oh and im not sure why all the fish died, though i think they might have been eaten. i see no bodies on the detritus. and the zooplankton has grown a lot!

i have one stomatopod shrimp larvae thats around 3/4 inch long swimming around. (tentative i.d.)

theirs a number of small madusa that were not their when i left, and a few 1/2 inch ones that were small before.

their are about 20 adult acartia tonsa (tentative) and few larvae left.

their must be 50 chaetognaths, and some are huge! at least 3/4 inch long!

could they have reproduced that quickly, because i thought their was only four when i left...

cheers...tommy

Sorry to hear they didn't make it. The shrimp larvae and the medusa's both are likely culprits for predation on larval fish.

Yes, chaetognaths can reproduce that quickly :D

well, i am seriously considering severely limiting my ocean collection.

I got some live isopods and amphipods, skeleton shrimp, etc to feed my bangai female. (the male died due to a parasite)

anyway, i noticed that one looked funny, and i almost removed it, but i didn't.

i now have at least one fish eating isotope in the tank. im pretty sure their is more than one, but i can't be entirely certain...

Wild collecting plankton is a double edged sword. It can provide the missing and necessary critters for difficult to rear species, and be source a of problems as you've found.

more eggs! this batch is much larger, probly around 300 eggs.

I will feed 25% of fry frozen rotifers. 25% frozen rotifers with bbs 25% frozen rotifers with live zooplankton, and 25 % frozen rots, bbs, and live zooplankton.

seem like a good deal?

also i removed the isopod. If i dont see anymore on the poor bangai (assuming he survives) then i may consider adding another, if not, i will add a bunch of peppermint shrimp and start raising those in the mean time.
