Nice color up on that rescue and that Hawkins makes me all warm and fuzzy inside!!
Glad the melt down wasn't too damaging.
Thanks Matt, as I recall, you have a very sweet spot for the Hawkins, lol... Hope all is going well your way bro!
I just love your Red Robin. It is so red. So is the Rommel's Watermelon. Do you have them in a very high PAR region?
I have got rid of my Leather during my revamp of the tank 3 months ago. But then, I never know it is not good to be in the same tank with SPS. Could you tell us why it is not good? I also got rid of most of my softies.
Thanks westreef!!!
Red Robin gets a ton of light, as mentioned earlier when discussing with Mark, I find it gets more green as the par lowers, and more red less green as it gets more light. My sweet spot for this coral is the white polyps, just makes me all fuzzy inside, lol... As far a leathers go, I believe they release toxins. As mine melted, the strands of dying coral were picked up and blown around, seems as those the sticks that it got caught on suffered most. I should have changed carbon, it may have helped, owell, all is back to normal at the moment.
Jeez, that is a beauty Hawkins colony! Nice work
Thanks jroovers, I have always admired your 120 and Ricky's too, thanks for dropping by and showing some love for the Hawkins, can't wait to see your next project take off, smaller, but fun nonetheless I hope
That Hawkins is so nice. Mine is just a little drag.. Only had it a few weeks. That's still a few weeks longer than the first time I tried one. I hope mine can grow to be like yours. Great job. Where do you have it placed in tank?
Thanks Michale, I guess we sometimes are lucky with certain corals, this colony just keeps getting better looking. I keep this one mid/high level. I find that the higher lighting allows some pinkish hues to come out on the tips when really happy, you have to really look though, as it is not a pronounced color, otherwise it sort of has that teal blue glow.
:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove:
That's all I have to say lol colours are outstanding and the growth looks like it's kicking along too

I have to say the acid trip is still my favourite! I'll swap you for some Firetruck :lol2: keep the pics rolling mate!
Dom, I so wish you lived in the states, or rather I lived in Australia, that actually works better, so do you have a spare room mate? Lol, hopefully you live near the coast, I like to surf mate

Just kidding man, but it would be nice to share some of our cool corals, like you and Andrew do, I would be all over that Firetruck, I would be hassling you mate, but that Acid Trip is going to be delightful too, it just wants to grow at a snails pace. Your tank is looking great Dom, keep it up mate!!!
