pics of my new fish/sps reef :)

Thanks... The new tank has about the same dimensions as the old tank, but the equipment is laid out differently so it is safer, easier to maintain and also better looking ;)

Key features:
- main tank (starfire front glass) about 170 G
- return from sump: Red Dragon 10.000
- skimmer: Bubble King 200 intern
- zeovit-reactor
- Ca: I had a Ca-reactor, now switching to pure balling method
- chiller: Resun 650, located in a different room
- light: 2 x 150 W hqi, 2 x 39 W T5, 2 x 54 W T5

Here a small view in the sump-area ;)

And some close-ups of corals:

Pink Acro table, grew four times bigger in less than a year:

Pink Stylo, much grown the last 3-4 years (it was already in my previous tank)

And a nice Acropora:

Capn and Eel-byte: thank you. On some corals the growth is incredible, though absolutely not on all corals. I've used the zeovit-method for about 1.5 years, now I quit this to try something else. I now dose a mixture of trace elements which is, according to the store where I bought them, custom made for my tank. I know some other Dutch and Belgian aquarists who also use this line with huge succes.

Apart from that: routine is really important. Water changes, lots of current, enough Ca and KH and clean water do the trick. But again: thank you. I see my tank everyday so it's hard to judge on it.

Darn, I can't see any of the pictures in this thread either. :( (On this page anyway)
Thanks for your interest, I didn't see this myself... They changed something on the forum I deeplinked to... So, here it is, uploaded in my gallery on RC :)

I thought it was time to blow off the dust of this topic ;) :spin2:

Quite some things have changed, both on the reefscape and on the population of fish. My regal angels decided that they didn't want to be kept together anymore after nearly 5 years, so I only have my 8 year old Red Sea regal left.

Further I added some new fish, including a mated pair of Liopropoma carmabi, a pair of juvenile blueline angels (Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis), a tiny multibar angel (Paracentropyge multifasciata) and some others. :bum:

I shot a small video which you can see here :) (Be sure to watch in HD ;))

that video was really cool! your tank is so full of life! I hope mine looks like that!
Thank you! Rome wasn't built in one day either, take your time :)

On the video: making short films like these is really easy using my iPhone and Mac. I just don't film the ugly parts of the tank ;)

Gorgeous tank! Wonderful mix of different coral species. Why are Europeans so good at this?:)
When I visited Joe Yaiullo (Atlantis Marineworld, New York) last year I wondered the same about the Americans, thank you for your compliments :)

I just took a new picture.

New addition: a very small frag of Sympodium sp, so not very much :)

Waaaayyyy to cluttered... You should probably trim everything back and send the frags to me...

..... very nice..

how long has it been established. also can you render a list of what the tank consists of (equipment) and possibly inhabitants too if its not the size of a dictionary!
