Pife's One fifty glass box build

My system is starting to clear up and things are looking a lot better compared to just three days ago. I am going to assume it was a combination of overexposure to intense LED lights and strontium dosing by seachem.

There have been huge changes to my living room but though over the last five hours. The eagle has finally landed after a long bumpy 3-year Journey.

Now the easy stuff for me starts I can't wait to drill through the wall and drop down my drains and see those glorious tank full of sand water and my rock structure. Not to mention all the little acro's that are downstairs in the basement waiting to get showing off. It's going to be exciting seeing all my fish Avenue home with a lot more swimming space. It will be interesting to see if they will be in the pecking order when I introduce the fish to their new home.

Beautiful, Brandon! And, ABOUT TIME! Not quite the Nook 4 year record but close;)

We need a good food venue by you? 1111 Mississippi? Blackthorn Pub & Grill for Chicago esque pizza?

Dude that setup looks great!

Thanks! It'll look better filled.

It's still not full yet.

Woo-hoo! Grats man. I can't wait to see it in a year now. Lolz

Hopefully is full of colonies!

No Blackthorn for me. My buddy at work was there and he said he seen at least two rats and the bartender joined about the names. They ran right out of the kitchen where the pizza comes out. There are plenty of places in Soulard. Maybe Pappys BBQ?

I second the Blackthorn.

Looking good Brandon.

No thanks, see above.

Thank you. The canopy is getting painted again over the weekend. I've got a daily plan for getting it wet. Shouldn't be long now. Now to see what the wife says when she gets home!

Which lighting do you think I should use Matt?

We can hit Bogarts Smokehouse.

Boo. My least favorite. We can do Adams! They're my favorite.

I'm in, wherever! Might be late, though...

Between mh and t5 is a really tough question..but I think I'd be leaning towards t5.. for variety sake and less heat. Dawn dusk, various spectrums. We know either light source will be good..
I just think 400w is just way overkill. Produces so much heat in the room and radiated heat in the tank.. I don't think 250w would be skimping.. I use 150 de with t5.. and my tank is 26 inches deep yes, I have 3 over 4 1/2 feet.. but still only 150w

I love Adams and go there regularly since my dad lives pretty clos by. Do you have any good pizza joins besides Blackthorn? Rats don't really bother me in the city.

I'd go with the T5's over the MH's. MH's are dead tech, and trying to find replacement parts for things that break or malfunction is getting harder and harder every day.

What are your dimensions for lighting?

I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to measure. I know it's 36 x36x if guess 18 inches high.

This is what I'm leaning towards. I really like the color options of T5s. Ati makes a rock steady fixture too. I'm going to stay off with an eight bulb fixture and another 4 bulb fixture with some blue led strips for supplemental. Or at least that's the plan for meow.

Smoothdog has same dimensions and one 250 MH and some led blues mixed in and his coral growth and color are very nice. As for MH technology, it isn't as available as five years ago but the basics aren't going anywhere for many years.
