55 gallon with 10 gallon refuge holding chaeto and pods.

Current inhabitants

2x Amphiprion ocellaris
1x Sphaeramia nemanoptera
1x Pterapogon kauderni
1x Ecsenius stigmatura
1x Stonogobiops yasha paired with a Alpheus bellulus

I have LPS and SPS corals, and a Tubestrea.

Snails and hermits....I know I need to get the crabs out. But the wifey like them. When one takes out a nassarius snail she'll change her mind.

I have a Cleaner shrimp and sexy shrimp in the DT now.

This is in QT.

1 Nemateleotris helfrichi

Can I add either a Bodianus bimaculatus or Luzonichthys waitei? I got rid of the algae blenny once in QT

either should work but with Bodianus bimaculatus I would be concerned with the sexy shrimp

OK, Here is a repeat of my current stocking which you have already addressed. "I have a 65 gallon display tank with around 70lbs of live rock.

30 gallon capacity sump with about 20 gallons of actual water. 6 inch deep sand bed in second chamber with around 5 lbs of live rock rubble plus cheato.

CUC consists of 6 blue leg hermits, one nassarius snail, 3 or 4 turbo snails, 3 mexican turbos, a few astreas.

My current coral list contains zoanthids/palythoas, hammer corals, goniaporas, mushrooms, ricordias, green star polyps, pulsing xenias, favia, acan lord, and a pipe organ coral

Current fish are percula clown, one ocellaris clown, one firefish, one midas blenny, one lawnmower blenny, and a Lubbock's fairy wrasse.

Am I at my bioload or is it possible to add any more fish. I really am open to suggestions as to what fish to add if anything. I know that I dont have the space for a tang, do not want damsels or chromis, and think I should stay away from angels because of the corals. I am also assuming that a mandarin is out of the question due to pod production not being enough to sustain it in this size of a set up. Any recomendations?"

I am considering setting up a 10 to 20 gallon tank strictly for pod production to supplement feeding for a mandarin. I am not sure if this would be sufficient though especially due to the fairy wrasse that is a current inhabitant. If it will not sustain the mandarin I will not get one as I definately don't want it to suffer andf slowly starve. Thanks again.

Good morning Steve.
Tell me about your beloved Possum Wrasses please.

Can one get away with pairs/multiples?
Or, would one of each of the three be alright in a large tank with other non aggressive tankmates?

Thank you.

Hello,
Still in the loooong researching phase, but would appreciate a professional opinion on a specific group of fish I'm considering for a new 55g. What I had in mind, in order of introduction into tank, is as follows:
1. Mimic Saddle Puffer
2. Coral Beauty Angel
3. Royal Gramma
4. Six Line/Flasher Wrasse
5. Osc. Clownfish (single)
As far as I can tell these should all get along fairly well as long as each species is provided proper places to hide, swimming room, etc. They also are all listed as "easy" and "peaceful" with the exception of the semi-aggressive Coral Beauty. I should also note that I would plan on introducing each fish at the smallest size available to allow adequate time to adjust to the tank and each other over time. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Nate
p.s. please assume all clean up crew as well as filtration, live rock/sand, lighting, etc is properly taken care of.

I have kept all three species of Wetmorella and there seems to be little interaction if any but they should be introduced concurrently; my tanks are similarly sized to yours. All of the three species of Wetmorella have similar behavior but slightly different appearance. A male and multiple females can be introduced together. They are initially somewhat reclusive, but they are not really shy. I see mine frequently.

1. Mimic Saddle Puffer not invertebrate safe
2. Coral Beauty Angel prefers a slightly larger tank as it is a grazer
3. Royal Gramma
4. Six Line/Flasher Wrasse aggressive, PITA
5. Osc. Clownfish (single)

Thanks. I've been playing fishlist all morning, I'll have a rough draft soon.
Do you keep different species, or just one?

Currently, different species. However, in retrospect, I would have tried for a harem of the Tanakas. In a small tank, I would do just one, in an 8 foot tank, more than one is fun. One of the things I like about them is that they are somewhat reclusive, moving among the aquascape, and appearing out of nowhere. But, they are not really shy.

Snorvich,

I think I know the answer to this but I figured I'd let you break it down better than I can.

Apparently a guy on our reef club boards was told by one the LFS down here that this stocking list for a 46 gallon tank was okay.

2 maroon clowns
1 suxline wrasse
1 flame angel

Looks like all of the fish were added within a week of each other and the tank isn't too old.

Thanks for the clarification :)

2 maroon clowns two sexually mature maroon clowns will want to control about 50 gallons of tank space and they will not be gentle with transgressors of that space
1 suxline wrasse very aggressive, will preclude many other tank mates
1 flame angel really needs a slightly larger tank for optimal grazing.

obviously no quarantine, clearly the LFS cares only about selling fish they had and cares not for the buyers success; I would suggest a different LFS.

Thanks for the clarification :)

20 gallon long, nothing ready yet just want to check inhabitants pre-cycling
2 ocellaris clowns
1 goby shrimp pair (suggestions as for what species needed)

Corals:
kenyan tree
Mushrooms
hammer?
maybe a frogspawn

CUC: I have no idea

A pair of sexually mature A. ocellaris will want to control the entirety of your tank. As such, the goby shrimp pair may be problematic.
