Garden eels are difficult. The six line wrasse would be the bigger problem than the hawkfish.
Thank you for the quick response. So are you saying the sixline would be more aggressive than the hawkfish?

In order to provide the best answer, a complete stocking list should be provided.
Here are the fishes and invertebrates that i plan to buy for my new sump-less and skimmer-less 20 gallon (long). I'm still debating about removing 1 of the clownfish for 1 Diamond Watchman Goby.
Either would work
Fish:
- 2xClownfish (probably Ocellaris) Marginally ok for A. ocellaris, but not ok for one of the larger, more aggressive species
Cleaning Crew:
- 4xTrochus Snails
- 4xCerith Snails
- 2xNassarius Snails
- 1xCleaner Shrimp
My full equipment list is:
20 Gallons, AI Hydra 26 with director, tunze 6020, Ebo Jager 100w, seafloor special grade sand, 20 lbs of Marco rock. I'll start with LPS and add another powerhead when i start adding SPS.

Literally two ocellaris so far. Just bought the black capped basslet and he is in quarantine. Wondering if in a tank that size I can also do a royal or two.
Would you avoid A. Ocellaris complety in a tank this size or only putting 1 + small goby help? I would prefer playing it safe as this is my first tank.
thanks
Alright, i ll look into other fish and come back. Do you have some suggestion? [emoji1]Since a single clownfish will eventually mature into a female, the area defended will be the same with a pair or a single. I personally would opt for small peaceful interesting fish in your sized tank. If you did that you could have two or possible three. But I have been doing this a very long time and do not find clownfish all that interesting in small tanks in the best of circumstances.

Thx for the reply, the store doesn't have any hoven's wrasse in stock, will a yellow wrasse, green wrasse, leopard wrasse x2 or exquisite wrasse works in my system?

1 gbt anemone
5 blue leg hermits
2 scarlet hermits

1 peppermint shrimp
1 emerald crab
1 skunk cleaner
8 nerites, 2 ceriths, 4 nassarius, 1 turbo

Interested in adding a yellow tang or melanurus wrasse the wrasse should be fine; the yellow tang needs a much larger tank

leopard wrasses will not, but and Halichoeres wrasse will subject to being not totally invert safe. The exquisit wrasse would work.

I need one more fish in my tank and leaning towards a Blue Devil Damsel. Some say they are too aggressive little buggers, but I've already got a Gold Stripe Maroon Clown, Royal Gramma and a Lawnmower Blenny. I've had them in the past and absolutely loves them. Tank specs in sig. An foreseeable issues with adding a male(blue body with the orange tipped tail).
The GSM clown, once sexually mature will not get along in that sized tank. A blue devil damsel is highly aggressive but not as much as the GSM
I have a 75g bowfront reef tank (almost all soft corals), pretty mature tank (5 yrs)...I am currently stocked with and ocellaris clown, coral flame angel and a zebra barred goby. I want to add a bi-colored pseudo-chromis (to replace one that died after 5+ yrs) and a Kole Tang.
