Royal Gramma are territorial but only protect a relatively small territory. Since you have a smallish tank, that fish may be a risk but the others are fine

Ok, maybe I'll just try to get a pair of Bangaiis. I'll do some more research and see if I'm comfortable with the Gramma risk or not.

Thanks again!

Which one is better in general when it comes to care and coral & invert safe? Copperband? or a Longnose??
Thanks

A long nose hawkfish is an ambush predator that makes it living by eating shrimp and small fish. A copperband butterfly may or may not eat corals, may eat clams, and will definitely eat copepods.

However, since this thread is not designed to be a discussion thread, those type of questions would get more responses in your own thread.

No, not a longnose hawkfish, a longnose butterfly

No, not a longnose hawkfish, a longnose butterfly

there are two species of long nosed butterfly, one is completely coral safe, the other is almost totally coral safe. Both are hardier than a CBB. However, I really prefer not to answer piecemeal questions. This thread is designed to have your stocking plan and tank size analyzed for marine fish compatibility. I am not able to go backwards in this thread.
