yea that wudnt be goodI simply leave it. But replacing it is fine as long as you do not inadvertently do so with a wrasse in it.

I have a 90 gallon display with a 30 gallon refugium, deep sand bed, 110 pounds of live rock, and a SRO 2000. I don't have coral yet, but I'm planning a mixed reef.
Currently in my tank I have:
1 old mellowed out blue fin damsel (at least 5 years old
1 old percula clown fish (at least 7 years old)
1 blue and yellow damsel
1 royal gamma
a peppermint shrimp and sexy shrimp
assortment of hermit cramps, snails, and emerald craps
I like to add
a coral beauty or flame angel Neither is really reef safe, especially towards meaty LPS corals
1 or 2 of Kole Tang, Yellow Tang, Hippo Tang A Kole tang would work, two tanks would not and the hepatus tang would quickly outgrow your tank
Potentially a Pyramid Butterfly or Schooling Bannerfish
Just starting to add water in a 150g tank and will begin cycling. It is 48Lx24Wx31D and would like to have a friendly community and some simple coral. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. open to any colorful species. Thanks.
get well!
Hi i am starting my own 40gal, i filled up the tank with rodi water and put the rite amount of salt in it. To cycle the tank i placed two raw shrimp in it. It has been 4-5days and my ammonia read 5.0/6.0 and i see no diatoms??? why is this?
ROCK=DEAD ROCK
LIGHTING=T5
SAND=NOT LIVE
FLOW=MEDIUM CaN any one plz help??
I have a 36 gal tank with a pair of clowns and a helfrichi fire fish. Today, after being in quarantine, I added a gold assessor basslet. The firefish is behaving very territorial towards the gold assessor - is this behavior likely to go away as the firefish gets used to the gold assessor?
Thank you
I would like to add a Harlequin Tusk in my 125 with my Colombian sharks, Moonies, banded sleeper goby and Antennata lionfish. It's filtered with a Proflex 4 and had macro in dt and one peice of coral.
Currently setting up a 75 gallon mixed reef w/ 20 long sump/refugium, and will be moving the fish from my 20 into it and adding a few more. Let me know what you think, Thanks.
Currently in 20:
occelaris clown(Amphiprion ocellaris)
pygmy cherub angel(Centropyge argi)
yasha haze goby(Stonogobiops yasha) w/ pistol shrimp(Alpheus randalli)
purple firefish(Nemateleotris decora)
Would like to add some of these, not neccesarily all:
black/white occelaris(Amphiprion ocellaris var.) must be tiny as your existing clown will not otherwise allow
flame angel(Centropyge loriculus) Not necessarily coral safe especially to meaty LPS
green clown goby(Gobiodon atrangulatus)
red mandarin(Pterosynchiropus splendidus var.) After the tank is about 8 months mature
kole tang(Ctenochaetus strigosus)
some type of anthias(if possible) If you choose an "easy one" that does not require multiple feedings, it will probably work. Should be peaceful as well.
flasher wrasse: mccoskeri, carpenteri or filamentosus
midas or bicolor blenny(Ecsenius midas or bicolor)
Really looking for a lot of diversity in this tank, and there will be shrimp and other inverts. So if you have any other suggestions that fit the bill, I would love to know.
