Hi I currently have a large diamond goby, 2 percula clowns and 2 cleaner shrimp. My tank has been stable since march of this year.

I assume I can add Blue axil chromis correct? The second part of my question is how many can I add? I would like to add 5 but I am concerned about the impact on my bio-load. Thanks in advance

In order to provide an accurate assessment I would need tank size, tank maturity and stocking plan.

Sorry totally blanked that out. I have a 75 gallon tank with a 40 gallon sump. The tank has been stocked since march and stable. I have not had any major swings of parameters since.

i recently upgraded from a 46 gallon to and 125 gallon (6foot).
55 gallon sump
coralife super skimmer (not so "super" lol)

my current stock list is:
picasso trigger
pair of occelaris clowns
melanarus wrasse
lawn mower blenny
2 1/2 foot zebra eel

i would like to add a few more fish but i don't want to over stock to the point i end up with a bio load issue my plans are to add
aussie harlequin tusk (mandatory i will get rid of picasso if necessary)
some type of tang (for algae control as my trigger doesn't like my cuc, leaning towards atlantic blue, orange shoulder, or purple.)
and a trio of something (probably lyre tail anthias but maybe a type of small wrasse)

does anyone see any issues with this? i know the eel really hurts my bio load but after watching an almost 3 foot zebra dance around the tank i don't think i could get rid of him.

my total list is 10 fish which just seems like a lot any suggestions would be great.

From a bioload perspective you are fine, but chromis will reduce their number over time to one or two.

sorry, I do not provide analysis of aggressive fish community tanks. Questions should be posed in the Aggressive Fish Forum.

I have a 65 gallon new set up (transferring my 29 Biocube over, in which I have inverts, softies, 2 SPS (montis), 2 LPS. My stocking plan is:

Lawnmower Blenny
2 Ocellaris Clowns
Golden Assessor
Court Jester (maybe)
Royal Gramma
Kole Tang (MAYBE)

My current inverts include:

Nassarius Snails
Turbo Snails
Bumblebee Snails (5 of each kind)
Cleaner Shrimp
1 Hermit Crab (adding another tonight, along with an Emerald Crab)
1 Purple Reef Lobster (I didn't know better and let myself get talked into it. Will probably keep him in the Biocube until I decide if I'll keep him or not)

Are these compatible?

Lawnmower Blenny add after tank is mature (6 months)

Golden Assessor

Royal Gramma
Kole Tang (MAYBE) really needs a larger tank

Pretty. However reclusive and will take fish

Are these compatible?

Thank you, very much. The Blenny will wait and no Tang. The Lobster is GOING! The fact that I never see him concerns me. He will not make the transfer and if he eats any of my inverts I'll tear the tank up and hunt him down. It's transferring anyway... :lolspin:

They hunt at night.

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However, I am always happy to provide analysis of stocking plans as long as tank size and maturity are also provided.

90G 1 1/2 years old ......... Sump refugium is 5 years old.. From previous setup..

Current Stock

2 B/W clowns Mated pair
2 Pajama Cardinals Mated pair
1 Starry Blennie
1 Blue Eye Kole Tang

I want more fish cause I feel the bio-load can handle it but I wonder if temperament of current fish can handle more?

So if possible here are some options I would like to run by ya!

1 Carpenter Wrasse (I have 1/4" screen lid)
3 Carberryi Anthias
3 Blue Chromis

Thanks for your help!!

either option one or two would work. If you go with the anthias be aware they require multiple feedings per day.

always a pleasure!

Hey folks. I have a 30 gal mixed reef set up for 6 months now. Just wondering if it would be ok to put a tailspot blenny in with 2 clowns and a yellow watchman. Thanks!

Tank: 20 gal & 10 lbs live rock. It has been running for a month. Bare bottom.

NH3/NH4, NO3, NO2: 0ppm
PH: 8.1
Salinty: 1.026

All I have is small brittle star that came in as a hitchhiker. I plan on having a lps coral and zoas.

1-Firefish (first, 4/5ths of the tank is covered)
2-Cardinals (Couple months later) Does size determine the sex?

Would either of those bother the brittle star? (I don't think so but want to double check)

When I upgrade to a 100 gal (not bare bottom) would either of these bother a pipe fish?

Thank you for your advice.

1-Firefish (first, 4/5ths of the tank is covered) fine, but 4/5 is not sufficient
2-Cardinals (Couple months later) Does size determine the sex? fine, but size does not determine sex

Would either of those bother the brittle star? (I don't think so but want to double check) no, there would be no interaction but be sure the brittle star is not green

When I upgrade to a 100 gal (not bare bottom) would either of these bother a pipe fish? no problem there

Thank you for your advice.

Standard 90 gallon tank
40b sump
Diablo xs200 skimmer
Stable parameters
Nitrate ~3
Phosphate: undetectable but there is a little bubble algae throughout.
Mixed reef: zoas, softies, lps

Current fish/inverts:
Pair of snowflake black onyx clowns
Trio of pj cardinals
Tail spot blenny
Skunk cleaner shrimp
Trio of peppermint shrimp
Various snails and micro hermits

Wanted list:
1 Yellow, Kole (have had bad luck previously), or bristle tooth tomini tang
1 green mandarin
1 yellow coris wrasse (if I don't put a yellow tang in; really want that flashy yellow in the tank) or a flasher wrasse or fathead anthia

Thoughts on the above? I'm open to suggestions too. I want to brighten up the fish list a bit as my current stocking is more on the drab side.

Wanted list:
1 Yellow, Kole (have had bad luck previously), or bristle tooth tomini tang I recommend the bristle tooth tomini as the better option; a yellow tang needs a larger tank
1 green mandarin If the tank is 9 months mature, fine
1 yellow coris wrasse (if I don't put a yellow tang in; really want that flashy yellow in the tank) or a flasher wrasse or fathead anthia the coris wrasse will compete for copepods and is not reef safe towards inverts, the flasher wrasse is fine, the anthias requires multiple feedings per day.
