65 Gallon Red Max. Would this work and why is the Green Mandain marginal. Do I wait a year? I am willing to take my time to get it right. I like that fish!
Look at adding a refugium, that will greatly enhance your odds of success. Then wait an additional 8 months
Is this enough of a clean up crew or do I make it bigger or smaller?
3 Astraea Conehead Snail add a few more, also look at adding other types of snails
3 Super Tongan Nassarius Snail
1 Fighting Conch
Fancy Vivid Ocellaris Clownfish (Pair)
1 green mandarin (Add in 6 months) marginal in your tank
1 orange stripe goby
1 Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp (Should I get 2) two is better still
1 Snapping Shrimp
1 yellow watchman goby
1 Coral Beauty
1 Bulb Anemone only after tank matures (6 Months? I want to introduce it at the same time as the clown fish) clownfish may or may not associate with an anemone (the anemone hosts, clownfish associate), they are picky that way, and be sure you have the correct species of anemone
1 Evergreen Starburst Polyp - Aquacultured
1 Glove Polp careful with green star polyps and clove polyps as they will take over your tank
1 Maxima Clam, Blue - Aquacultured (Add 1 year)
1 Ricorda Mushroom Blue Green
1 Turquoise Staghorn
1 Birdsnest Coral, Green
1 Blue Acropora Millepora (Add 1 year)
1 Bubble Coral, Pearl
Is it easy to attach a refugium to the red max set up? Which refugium should I add to it?
What Anemone will work? The advice I read in books and online sites say the Bubble Anemone is the easier anemone to keep which will bond with the clown fish. I like the Ritteri Anemone (Heteractis magnifica) but it says they are very difficult to keep.
I also read that I should only keep 1 snail for every 10 gallons of tank. Is this just a starting point? I will add 2 Chestnut Cowrie (Cypraea spp.) if my tank can handle it.
I removed the star polyp.
2 Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp will be added.
Do you have any suggestions on corals/polyps and how many should I keep?
I like dark blue lke the Coral Beauty and red.
Any other suggestions? I am interested in unique relationships and a happy tank.
Is the red max aquarium set up a good buy? If not what are your suggestions to include the additional equipment needed and brands to make this a success? I want to create an easy transfer from day to night and proper current circulation. Is a wave machine worth investing in?
Thank you for any input!!!
