Once you have upgraded, either should be fine.

Can I have one or the other? Or both a regal and a powder blue. They're both blue... Would they fight?

RC recommends that a Hepatus tang be kept in an 8 foot, 240 gallon tank. Your upgrade is not quite there. The more tangs you keep together, the greater tank size comes into play. RC recommendations are for the tang requiring the most space but keeping multiple tangs means that the odds of non-peaceful interaction increases.

I have a 90g tank, with just over 100 lbs mix live/dry rock with sump, skimmer, gfo/carbon reactors. We are ready to add first fish. We intend it to be a mixed reef tank.

For first fish we are thinking of either a pair of Amphiprion Anemonefish, or Percula Anemonefish . . . then we began to wonder about a pair of both. Will they fight, or get along with each other.

Other fish we are thinking of adding down the road:
Chrysiptera parasema (Yellowtail Blue Dameslfish)
Pterapogon kauderni (Banggai Cardinalfish)
Sphaeramia nematoptera (Spotted Cardinalfish)
Gramma loreto (Royal Gramma Basslet)
Zebrasoma Flavenscens (Yellow Tang) or
Ctenochaetus strigosus Kale Yellow Eye Tang)
Forcipiger Flavissimus (Yellow Longnose Butterflyfish)

Thank you for your help.

only one pair of clownfish in a tank

Other fish we are thinking of adding down the road:
Chrysiptera parasema (Yellowtail Blue Dameslfish) while pretty, I would avoid damselfish as they are aggressive
Pterapogon kauderni (Banggai Cardinalfish) be sure to get tank raised
Sphaeramia nematoptera (Spotted Cardinalfish)
Gramma loreto (Royal Gramma Basslet)
Zebrasoma Flavenscens (Yellow Tang) or
Ctenochaetus strigosus Kale Yellow Eye Tang) Ctenochaetus tangs are strongly preferred; the yellow tang will be very aggressive towards other fish
Forcipiger Flavissimus (Yellow Longnose Butterflyfish)

I have a 75G reef tank w/ 30G sump. I currently have softies and mushrooms, planning on mainly LPS/ Ric tank. Have 100lbs of live rock.

Current stock:
-Black and White Ocellaris/Orange Ocellaris pair
-Hoeven's Wrasse
-1 peppermint shrimp
-5-8 nassarius snails
-3 cerith snails
-1 ninja star snail

Planned stock:
-Midas Blenny
-Starry Blenny
-Bluespotted Watchman Goby/Pistol Shrimp Pair
-Engineer Goby
-McCoskers's Flasher Wrasse or Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse (Would love to find a male/female pair)
-Orange Back Fairy Wrasse
-Kole Tang or White Tail Bristletooth Tang

Do you think this would be fully stocked or have room for another wrasse?

If I have too many fish I am considering skipping the engineer goby.

I can't find much info on the White Tail tang but love the coloration. Is there much difference b/n those 2 tangs?

Thanks in advance for your help.

-Starry Blenny
-Bluespotted Watchman Goby/Pistol Shrimp Pair
-Engineer Goby I recommend not doing this fish as you will not be happy when it does it's thing
-McCoskers's Flasher Wrasse or Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse (Would love to find a male/female pair) either are excellent, pairing (M+F) would be desirable
-Orange Back Fairy Wrasse
-Kole Tang or White Tail Bristletooth Tang either would work, kole is nice

Ok, let me try again. Moving away from the old idea I had, probably not going to work so well. New plan is:
180 gallon tank (6x2x2ft) with 100g sump
100-200lbs LR
SWC 250 1A skimmer

Here are the fish I'm considering(not going to get all of them):
Foxface rabbitfish
Magnificent rabbitfish
Schooling bannerfish
Anthias trio
Banana wrasse
Powder blue tang
Powder brown tang
Purple tang
Kole tang
Harlequin Tusk

Tusk and powder blue tang are top priority.

Banana wrasse
Powder blue tang
Powder brown tang I would not do the brown if you are going to do the blue
Purple tang I would skip this one with the other tangs in the plan
Kole tang
Harlequin Tusk

Tusk and powder blue tang are top priority.

Cool thanks. Just wondering, if two rabbitfish were introduced at the same time, would there still be aggression?

Okay I have a 29 gallon setup for about a year now with lots of rock and sand. In another year I would like to upgrade to a 50 or 75 gallon. Right now I have 3 fish all under an inch long:

sixline wrasse
ocellaris clown
bluegreen chromis
plus 7 nassarius snails and a peppermint shrimp

I feed the fish heavy and they all get along. I hope the sixline doesn't get territorial.

I would like to get:

captive bred kaudern's cardinal
canary wrasse
another ocellaris clown

sixline wrasse almost certainly will be territorial towards certain fish types

best and easiest course is to wait until you upgrade. The most difficult addition is likely to be the second clownfish which MUST be tiny.

Hello again,

I was overthinking my stock list.

Tank:
30gal
AM Blue 500 Skimmer

Inverts:
x Hermit Crabs (how many für 30gal?)
2x Percnon Crabs
1x Feather Duster
2x Peppermint Shrimp
(perhaps 1 Blue Tuxedo Urchin)

Fish:
2x Clown Fish
2x Watchman Gobys with Pistol Shrimp
1x Blenny (Bicolor, Midas, Tail Spot=

Alternative fish:
1x Bicolor Dottyback
2x Clown Gobys

For the clown fish i was thinkin of true percula, ocellaris or pink skunk. Is the last one too aggressive?
What about the bioload with 8 fishes tops? Would 6 be better or still too many?

Greetings
Michael

What about the bioload with 8 fishes tops? Would 6 be better or still too many? six small is fine, another small fish like the clown goby would work

Posted this elsewhere but just found this thread:

OK, so at this point I have:

a chromis,
a clown,
A firefish
a sixline wrasse
a yellowline wrasse
a bangaii cardinal
a niger trigger
a powder brown tang.

*

It's time to add a new fish (or two!).

*

What I have my eye on:
Magnificent foxface
another tang (Naso, most likely, or similarly docile tang)
Mandarin goby
Another clown
Flame angel

And.....you tell me.

*

Tank specs:

180 gallon reef tank, 65 gallon sump, Eshopps S-200 cone skimmer, live rock.

I've been considering ordering online, but it don't make sense to pay $35 shipping for one fish.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.*

Magnificent foxface
another tang (Naso, most likely, or similarly docile tang) your tank is not large enough for a naso tang
Mandarin goby
Another clown must be the same species and much smaller than the existing clown
Flame angel

And.....you tell me. as those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons

Ok 180g tank.

Found a Naso Tang for sale.

I have a yellow, Powder Blue, Hipo and Sail fin tang.

Am I asking for trouble if I attempt to put a naso tang?

I have a 36gal bowfront currently going through a fishless cycle, HOB filter(for the Qtank), 20H sump and 10gal refugium waiting to be added(and upgraded) as well as my protein skimmer waiting to be added.

My fish list is:
O.Clownfish (mated pair)
Pygmy Angel
Six Line Wrasse

Just not sure which to add first, cause in my mind all 3 choices should be added to an established aquarium, not to a freshly cycled aquarium ...
