Hi guys and girls

I have a Juwel Rio 240 marine tank with live rock. I have a Clown fish, a Bicolour Dotty, a flame angel, two shrimp, two star fish and 2 hermit crabs.

I am thinking of getting a Blenny fish to clean up the sand a bit.

Can you suggest any other fish that will clean the glass or sand?

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However I am always happy to review any perspective stocking list for compatibility as long as tank size is provided as well.

Hi Steve

I have a 240L tank. Its around 5 foot long i think.

There is no real fish that will keep sand clean, but there are some that will interact with the sand and stir it up. The biggest compatibility issue will be the dottyback which will make adding fish difficult in this sized tank.

I have a 40b, 20h sump with refugium and sea clone skimmer about 50-60 lbs of live rock LPS zoas and mushrooms right now with a pair of b/w ocellaris. I want to add more so I made a list... It has a lot but I don't intend to put all in there just pick which would best suit the tank.
Shrimp/goby pair
Cleaner shrimp (skunk maybe?)
Clown goby
Purple dotty back
Blenny (starry/sail fin/bicolor)
Lantern basslet
Royal gramma
Fire fish

Clown goby
Purple dotty back very aggressive, would preclude many of your other fish
Blenny (starry/sail fin/bicolor)
Lantern basslet not compatible with small fish or shrimp
Royal gramma
Fire fish not with a dottyback

60 Cube
3" live sand
45lb Fiji Live Rock

Will these three fish get along okay?

-Yellowhead Jawfish
-Helfrichi or Purple Firefish
-Dracula Goby

Thanks!

Ok, my wife and I have an itch for a new addition.
46g bowfront, 10 months old.
We do have a couple of corals at the moment and will probably be adding more in the future.

Current inhabitants:
2 ocellaris clownfish
1 green chromis
1 yellow wrasse
1 coral banded shrimp
assorted cuc

Here's the list my wife left me:
Longfin fairy wrasse
McCosker's Flasher Wrasse
Tanaka's Pygmy Wrasse
PJ Cardinal
Tailspot Blenny
Royal Gramma

I was also considering something from the dwarf angel species.
Thanks in advance

Concerning the PJ cardinal, would it be ok to only add one to the tank, or do I need to get two or three?

Will be a stock nuvo micro 30 with stock filtration. Will have live rock and mushrooms and Lps.

Cleaner shrimp
Clown fish
Candy Pistol shrimp/yllw watchman goby
Purple fire fish
Mandarin (lastly after year for copepod)

Is there room for 1 more fish? If so recomendations?

So I updated from what you told me for my 40b...
Two ocellaris ( already in)
Royal gramma
Goby/pistol shrimp
Blenny (optional/undecided)

Cleaner shrimp
Clown fish
Candy Pistol shrimp/yllw watchman goby
Purple fire fish
Mandarin (lastly after year for copepod) without exceptional effort, this will not work

depends on species of clownfish; one more small peaceful fish will work

3 turbo snails
8 hermits hermits will kill snails
Black urchin

Possible future additions
Tomini tang either tang but not both
Kole tang
Flame angel and/or coral beauty if you are not doing a tang (above), you could do both, if you do a tang, either would work. But, neither is coral safe.
Fire fish
Royal gramma

fine except as noted.

steve, i've been considering a lawnmower blenny. i read where they need an established tank. i used much of the live rock from my two small tanks in my new 75g. how long does it take to reach the "established" stage, if you can even estimate that?

right now my fish consist of:
1 orange spotted goby
2 snowflake clowns
1 royal gramma
1 longnosed hawkfish

thanks!
