Can semi aggressive be kept with aggressive fish.
Thanks.
Sorry, that question is totally unanswerable as it depends on a large number of factors, none of which are provided.
Can semi aggressive be kept with aggressive fish.
Thanks.
Tank is 48"x30"x27" high, mostly sps, running in current configuration for about 3 years.
I currently have the following:
Amblyeleotris randalli (in tank with c. cintus over 2 years, they have their own territories at opposite ends)
Cryptocentrus cinctus
Halichoeres chrysus (in my care 5 plus years)
Gramma loreto
Siganus unimaculatus
Synchiropus splendidus
Amphiprion ocellaris(pair)
Very Small Genicanthus watanabei (recent addition)
Pygoplites diacanthus
Chrysiptera starcki
I would like to add:
Cirrhilabrus exquisitus
Cirrhilabrus lineatus
small group of Hawaiian Pseudanthias bicolor for best results, feed multiple times per day
any issues with these additions?
Standard 75g with LPS and p&z's. Tank is at its 1 year anniversary:
2 Black & White Occelaris Clown fish
1 Flame Angelfish (Centropyge loricula)
1 Flame Hawkfish (Neocirrhites armatus)
1 Dispar Anthias (Pseudanthias dispar)
1 Mystery Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus ocellatus)
Would like to add:
Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus solorensis} 1 male and possibly 1 female (or more than 1 female?) This species is on the aggressive side and your mystery wrasse may not allow fairy wrasses to be added at all
Thank you.
With the mystery wrasse, would I be better off to forego the addition of any other wrasses in general, or just the fairy wrasses?
I have a 65 gallon reef tank (36"L x 18"W x 24"H).
I Currently have:
Ocellaris Clownfish (Pair)
Looking to add:
Pair of Bangaii Cardinal
Flasher Wrasse
Firefish
Cherub Angel or Bi-Colour not coral safe
Blue/Green Chromis
Yellow Tail Damsel aggressive
Aside from the cardinals, they will all be single fish. How does that look? Your input is appreciated![]()
We are consolidating tanks. Final tank will be the 200gal. Current resident is a 7" Magnificent Fox. Can we add a 3-4" One Spot Fox?
No, it will be killed.
Other fish: 3" butterfly, 3" Moorish and a Hawk, 2 Dragon Gobies and Watchman gobie. Plan to add others later
I presume you are saying that the Magnificent will kill the one spot?

Hi Steve, i'm about to add 2 ocellaris clowns from quarantine to my 75g DT that has recently completed it's cycle. My eventual stocklist is planned as follows:
Kole Tang
2 Ocellaris Clowns
Flame Hawk
Lawnmower Blenny
Diamond Goby
African Flameback or Coral Beauty
Midas Blenny
Firefish
3 Flasher Wrasses (possibly, if the tank isn't overcrowded)
My question is if adding the Flamehawk next would be too early in the order. Do you think he'd get aggressive with other fish when i add them down the road?
should be fine. They are not shrimp safe, however, which in your case is not an issue. I would not do a midas blenny with the planned stocking list as they nip and you have several planktivores
One of my favorite LFS has one for about 1/2 the usual price, so it'd be cool to pick him up if it wouldn't create issues. There won't be any shrimp. I have not added a CUC yet, but will be doing soon once the DT accumulates some waste.
I am in the process of setting up a 29g (30"W) FOWLR / future reef tank with macro algae and soft coral.
Stocking list that I am considering:
Sunrise dottyback x 1 very aggressive and will preclude the others you are picking
Court jester goby or yellow clown goby x 1
Panamic barnacle blenny (Hancock blenny) x ??? (I have a barnacle already)
Will these work together and how many of the blenny could I safely stock? assuming you remove the dottyback from consideration, two or three would work well.
