What is the recipe?

If Perry has the recipe then he will be a rich man very soon.

Unfortunately, there is no specific set of parameters or equipment that definitely will lead to great colours. I would advise looking at build threads and especially the Tank of the Month Tanks. Look at what others are using; make an informed decision and stick with that methodology or types of equipment.

Perry, well done on that $10 coral.

Good to see this thread made a comeback. :D

This thread is a perfect example of why its seemingly impossible to give an accurate ID on frags, especially when unhealthy. So often, as illustrated here, the end result is completely different from the beginning and in so many ways.

Great idea here Sahin, one of my favorite threads to date.

That is so true. I rescued a frag from a buddy about few months ago...if you saw it you wouldnt have said its a millepora...was very brown, lacked PE and corallite edges were not pronounced. It now has the signature millepora polyps and starting to grow the raised corallite edges.

New growth is showing a nice sky blue. I'm hoping the frag grows into something that resembles the nice blue like the Palmers Blue Millepora...I love the old school acros; hardy/you know what colours it could have/if it didnt colour up you know its the water/usually decent prices too.

Finally have something worthy enough for this thread...excuse the old iphone camera.
