Very nice Kenny!

Thanks lady and gents! The recovery isn't quite complete yet. I did have some RTN a few weeks ago but seemed to have stopped with a water change. I will try to do a 20% water change every two weeks to see if it makes a difference. Most of the Acros seem happy though. The weird thing again was that the RTN was on a couple of old Acros.

I agree on the growth tips. There is really no other Acro like it that has such a distinct coloration between new and old growth :)

Sweet shot man the PL tips are just glowing! I've also found it to be one of my more hardier pieces... knock on wood.

I sure hope so, Dan. Now you've just jinxed me.

On a different note. I've been running the new Warner Marine EcoBAK pellets for at least a month now. The PO4 has been consistently at 0.03-0.04. Not all of it are due to the EcoBAK since I am still using up my remaining supply of PhoSar. However, before I started the EcoBAK, the PO4 never dropped below 0.07-0.08. So maybe this stuff is doing the trick. This would be great news since it will allow me to feed a little heavier and not have to worry about polluting the water.

Just started Ecobak myself 2 wks ago. Not much change so far but I hope to see my hair algae problem improve.

Kenny you will have to keep us updated on how the pellets work. BTW it's good to see things are coming around for you .

M, supposedly, they will start working around the third and fourth week mark. I still need to do more PO4 testing to make sure my levels remain low and not a temporary thing. I have high hopes.

Thanks Brian, I definitely will update on the progress of the EcoBAK. I was confident that I could eventually bring the PO4 level down with water changes and other things. But what got me thinking and eventually to try out these pellets is that if are able to actively lower the nitrate and PO4 levels with no negative side effects, it would allow me to feed the fish a little more and not have to worry about the water getting too dirty. The feeding thing is essential for the angel keepers :)

Kenny - yeah, I'm hoping that the ecobak will allow me to feed a little heavier and not have to worry about feeding my GHA issue more. Plus, all the usual stuff with wetter skimming and water changes and scrubbing rocks and blah, blah, blah ... :)

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! :)

Well, things are looking pretty good so far. I tested again with the Hanna yesterday before a 60G water change and it was 0.04. It's been 2.5 weeks since the last one. My tank is really starting to clean up with an army of hermits and a handful of emerald crabs scraping the rocks clean. Even the valonia has gone down dramatically, mostly from whoever is eating it and some manual removal :D

Cool shots Kenny, they look like aerial photos of a different planet. I assume the emeralds have been behaving nicely? I've got a few spots of valonia so I'm considering adding a few emeralds before it gets out of hand.

Thanks Dan. That's a great way of looking at it :)

The emeralds have been good so far. I see them on some of the Acros sometimes but they are not eating them. They are also doing a very good job of clearing some of my rocks of this red turf algae. They scrape that stuff off and the rocks are starting to look like, well, rocks, finally :celeb1:

If you only have a few spots, try manually remove them first. I don't want to tell you to go the emerald route and have it end up the same way as the bristletail filefish :o
