Kenny, I ran 2 IC 660s that powered 5 60" T-5s. Man were those things bright. I ran them for about a year and did not notice a loss or shift in color but I also had a fan running to cool them a little bit. I was told by IC that they will overdrive up to 3 60" from 80w to 100w.

Another new toy from Warner Marine, the MR-100 media reactor. I got tired of the mess involved in changing out the media with the previous reactors. In fact, it's such a pain that I've often neglected to change them out or not even putting them back in afterwards, as is the case on the most recent occasion. The 2 AquaC are still sitting on the side of the house. With this one, it doesn't have that center tube to mess with. I can just drop in bags of whatever media I want to use depending on the need. Although it's a bit more expensive than most, the time and frustration saved will far outweigh the cost.

Here it is with a 16oz bottle for reference. Yes, I use a lot of WM stuff :D

Thanks Dan, that's good to know. My plan is to use one 660 for 2 60" T5's and the other 660 for 2 72" VHO actinics. Did you aim the fan at the bulbs or the ballast? Maybe that's reason mine burned out so fast. There is really no way to aim a fan on the bulbs for the frag tank.

At the bulbs. From what I've read since they are being overdriven, the above normal temps can shorten the bulb life more than they already will be.

Just curious, has anyone thought about using these directional LED night lights as moon lights for the tank? I am talking about the ones at the top in this link:

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=34312-53058-8824001&lpage=none

The two on the bottom are great around the house b/c they don't get hot for those curious little hands. For a few bucks each and some extension cords, you can have pretty decent moon light, instead of spending $40+ for just one. They have photocells so they'll automatically turn on once the main lights go off. I think it's worth exploring.

Would be hard to install those night lights on my tank in my living room and make it look good. You might have better success with your garage tank ... Those lights are certainly cheap enough that it's worth a try!

Anything is possible, if you want it bad enough

Received my last box of trade goodies yesterday and got some new gems in. Will post up some pix soon.

nice frag for sure will look real great once it grows out

Thanks FUA! I can't wait until it grows out. Hope it's not a slow one like most of the watermelon varieties.

Never mind Kenny, I dipped'em in both Revive and TMPC with no issues. Closed up as soon as they hit the Revive and remained closed in the TMPC but opened right back up a few minutes later in regular water. They look great, again thanks for the tip.

Nice chalice Kenny:)
How are you corals doing?

Thanks Stacie. Nothing much has happened in the last couple of weeks with the Acros. Too soon to celebrate though. Got a long ways to go before I'll let my guards down. The LPS are doing fine. The OS may have been stung by a neighboring Favia and it's recovered.

Sorry Dan. My bro was in town for a couple of days and we were out all of yesterday. Glad you picked some up. Dips are fine for most LPS. Enjoy!
