Rainbow Archipelago 1.0 Reef Journal

Looking good Nate. Like the minimal rocks and clean layout. Also dig the sps frags on the sand bed, quick and simple placement. Reminds me of the way Korallen Zucht does their prop system.

Quick ?, the flat disks with the frags, did they come with the frags or you molded them from putty?

That's a beautiful multicolored BTA.

Is that a new named color morph? If so, what is the name of it?

Max, yes, it's gorgeous - and this is despite the fact that I was unable to catch some of the Orange and yellow coloration in th photo. I got out off eBay from seller who removed it from a client's tank, so no cool name. Yet. :)

Nice, Nate!
New corals look good and that anemone is a real stunner!
I love the quadricolors.
Have the clowns shown interest yet?

Nate I agree with Matt, the nem is gorgeous, I am not a fan of them, but it is sweet! Your tank is looking colorful, all the corals have a glow, can't wait to see them and the tank mature :)

Hi Matt,

Really good to hear from you!. The clowns haven't even looked at it, but they were being hosted by a Sinulara in their previous tank, so i think they will eventually. They better, our I'll tie them to it :).

I'm glad to see your tank coming along well, Nate.
If they are captive raised clowns, they take much longer to figure it out..
Catch the clowns in a net and draw them over, maybe..

Perry,

I'm glad you approve - even if you're not a fan. I thought i had moved past the "i need an anemone and a clownfish" phase of my aquarium keeping, but i guess not. I messed up my ATO and fresh-watered the tank out, let the alkalinity drift up to 9.6 from 8.3, and accidentally left the lights on for 24 hours (All within a weeks time), so all things considered, they are doing great. I'm going to let things stabilize and give the anemone another week to find its sweet spot, and them I'm going to move the corals to the rock. I'll post some shots once i get there!
