Redsea reef base substrates

Im plannung on redsea reef base, confused as in which to buy and howmuch. They have live and dry substrate, ocean white and pink. Ocean white is very fine (0.25mm to 1mm) and pink (0.5mm to 1.5mm)

Which would be better? Also i want 1.5" layer for my 54x24x24. How do i calculate? Is there any calculator for it? i cud only find carbsea sand and normal sand calculators.

For the amount of sand you use: L x W x Thickness/20= Lbs so for your tank 54/24/1.5= 97.2 lbs so 100 pounds would be about right. As to the sand most of us fine the very fine sand gets blown around too much, I would go with at least the pink if not arger. I use CaribSea Special Grade Reef Sand (1.0mm-2.0mm).
