This skimmer is driving me crazy!! It's chugging so bad, looses head pressure, then over flows my skimmer cup with a hour! I empty the cup, all of the sudden, it goes wild, and fills it in a hour!

What speed do you have the pump on?

Put it on 6 and re adjust the valve accordingly. IMO the variable speeds are worthless.
Hey I just got it yesterday . So u saying to set it at 6.. how high I set the bubbles

Thanks,. all ready tried that. It steam's along nice, then looses pressure and then starts chugging

Set your bubbles at the bottom of the neck, as it break in, it will move up
Were the white ring is . Were the cup goes.

Set it up at the bottom of the 6" cup, sorry, so at first you'll see a bunch of larger bubbles, in the neck, as it breaks in, they will become smaller micro bubbles in the neck, just below the 6" bottom plate of the skimmer cup
It will be inconsistent for the first few weeks, till bacteria builds on it, and depending on your bio load
Don't forget to hook up the over flow ( if you want one )
I also noticed it looks like the outlet of your gate valve is lower then your baffle. You want the bottom of the gate valve opening to be un der water by about 1/4"

Why wait? Send it back. If it is not working properly, it is just a fancy aerator.
