Reefbreeders/(Evergrow OEM) Fixtures D120/IT20** series

Fantastic setup EZ. Gorgeous

My setup like I said is in a horeshoe pattern with the liverock and most of my high light needs is on the inside of the pattern and the sps higher up and the clam right dab in the middle of the pattern. I'll see how the light covers hanging it landscape position across the tank haning from the ceiling. I will start at around 40 percent and see how it goes. I did make the mistake when I had a Kessil 350 and put it on full blast and it did a number on my tank. Big dummy.... lol

It's being delivered today. Can't wait to monkey around with it and see how it performs. I did get the remote with the lcd control. i figured the one plug in will be nice as well as being able to set it and forget it for the day. Right now I have timers on my halide and it has four plugs which is a lot of extra clutter and outlet room taken up.

My halide is a phoenix 250 with 4 ati t5's blue, coral blue, purple

I've read through most of this posting, and now thinking about the IT 2080 32" fixture.

I am picking up a used, but custom made 60x24x24 outside measurements. Glass is 1" thick so inside measurement are more like 58x22x22. There is no center bracing since it has a glass brace along the outside edge around tank. I'll be planning a 3" to 4" sandbed. Also, end overflow boxes take out about another 3" from the ends. So I guess there would be about 52" from inside end edge to inside end edge of livestock space. (if anyone could point me to a free online diagram making tool that is easy to use, I can try to throw up something visual to assist.)

Would a single IT2080 with the 4' option layout work for this application?

Tough call. I'd say it depends on what you plan to have out at the ends of the tank. It may work out just fine, but you are pushing the parameters to the limit. Best I'd say is you have a 50/50 chance if you want sps out at the edges and a much better chance if you do corals that can deal with a little less light out there and sps a bit further in from the ends.

Some guy gave it to my cousin. He was going to seal off the bulkheads and turn it into a snake terrarium. I said, NOOOOO, and offered 150.00 for the tank before he started sticking snakes in it. He said ok and i go to pick it up in a few weeks.:bounce1::bounce1:

i raised my fixture from 10.5" to 12.5" hoping to get less par at only 40/25%. this thing is brutal for shallows :D

I have the D120 Value Fixture and I'm looking for some advise on how to start off with this light and acclimate my corals. My tank is a 24 gallon cube, mixed reef. I've been using a Tek T5 fixture for lighting.

How high should I hang the light off the water? What percentages should I start off at? How quickly do you increase the intensity?

Thanks!

I have 3 of these d120's over my 125g

I have great growth but I think my coral color is lacking. I want to change a few leds to get more of a full spectrum. Does anyone know where to get replacement leds besides directly from China?

Reef Breeders is selling the EverGrow line of lights and they should be able to sell you leds and lenses.

They are now a sponsor to RC and are in the list of sponsor forums listed at the bottom of the page.

I have a 24" controllable reef breeders fixture over my 65 gallon. I've been really happy with it. I keep mostly softies and LPS with a few SPS. All have been doing very well.
I haven't found the best camera settings to get the true color. But it shows the coverage.

BlueFyre, so I have a better sense of the coverage, how far off the water surface is the light hung? And what optics? Thanks.

Looking at upgrading to a 48/48/24 cube. Currently have 3 Nova A4's(they don't make them anymore) LEDs. Might sell them out to replace them with........ Not sure what light fixture to get. Any ideas.

Hey Ron what do the IT2080's go for? Fully customable on the colors right
Corey

Last I heard from EG they were $499 delivered (UPS Air). And I saw Reef Supply Canada has them for $475 delivered (even into the US). I know EG will do complete custom layout, I think Reef Breeders (US) will too, I don't know for sure about Reef Supply Canada. I have 2 over my 180g and if Eco Tech offered me 3 Radion Pro fixtures (and said I couldn't just sell them) I wouldn't trade. I think having to hook up a computer to adjust your lights is a PITA. I had a Radion and just sold it today. Now I have an EG IT2040 over my 70g anemone tank.

Yeah I have been following the thread and these look great. I just hate to get rid of my A4's and since they don't make them anymore I doubt I can find a 4th led fixture. I emailed Sam to see if they maybe had one laying around so I'm waiting to hear back. Tat option is FAR cheaper
Lol

I hear ya. I got my IT2080's in a group buy for $340 each. I ended up getting 6 fixtures for $1300 that would have cost over $1800 retail from EG or RB.
