Reefbreeders/(Evergrow OEM) Fixtures D120/IT20** series

In one of your pictures it looks purple to me... actually your tank looks very similar to what my tank looks like in person. Does your tank looks as purple in person as the picture?

The second picture is the color that I would like to see.

It has been said a number of times, cell phone pictures of LED tanks are not accurate. I am sure post processing would help, but I am not going through the trouble.

the IT2080 is meant for standard sized tanks that are rectangular in shape. The Nova was meant for tanks that more cube shaped. Each Nova should cover a 36 inch long x 30 inch wide area if I'm not mistaken. The IT2080 can cover a 36 to 48 inch long tank, but probably no more then 20 inches wide.

Can anyone confirm this? I'm looking to cover a 36Wx24Lx27H area with a single NOVA A8 instead of doing a IT2080 for the same area...

I really want to put the 32" RB on my 75gal reef

8ygu5edu.jpg

I would go with the RB Photon 48. I have a 72 Bow and that's what I have. It provides excellent coverage!

Im looking to switch over my lights to LEDs and was wondering if it would be better to go with the 2 value fixtures or the 32" controllable fixture for my 75gal with a center brace. Any input you guys could give would be helpful. Im looking to be able to keep everything (LPS, SPS, Clams)

If you 75G is 48" go with the RB Photon 48. I have a 72 Bow that is 48" and I went with the Photon 48. It has awesome coverage!

So I have my Photon 16 with 90 degree optics over my biocube 29 for a week now. I love the color output and the way my clam looks under the light. Few things though that I need answers to:

1 - I have this 6" over my tank currently at Channel 1 45% and channel 2 35%
2 - My torch and hammer coral appear to be unhappy since the change, they are on the sand bed.
3 - My brain coral on the sand bed looks like it is starting to bleach a little.

What suggestions can you make to help resolve my issues.

your lights are too bright too quickly. With your fixture only 6 inches over the tank and 90* optics, I recommend lowering your blues to 30% and your whites to 10% to start. This level should only be maintained for 4-6 hrs and tapered up to and away from those levels pre and post. I'd run this for the next 2 to 3 weeks before I raise it any higher, then I'd raise it by 5% per week until you hit about max 50% blues and 30% whites. You'll probably never need to take it higher then this.

What is the difference between the reef breeders Value and the Evergrow? Evergrow used to be ordered from china but now there's a supplier in the states and reef breeders value people said was the evergrows, but in pictures they're different, especially with the LED colors. Anyone shed some light on this for me? Need a light for a 65g.

Weird, I wonder why they show different pictures of LEDs? The reef breeders doesn't have the greens the evergrows have according to the pics.

This is the evergrows from eBay

And this is the reef builders from their website

Still the same fixture? The pictures are misleading then.

Getting more and more interested in these lights. Does anyone have any pics of a Photon32 on a standard 75g tank? I know they make a 48" fixture, but I would prefer to put a smaller sized fixture like the phonton32 over my tank. I just like to keep things at a minimum, but if will not work or be sufficient I would really like to know. I'm mostly softies and LPS, but would like to get into SPS here and there.

hey guys new to forum and based in perth Western Australia, I have been trying to find some good contenet on led set ups without paying the price of a small car and the it2080 looks like its right down my street...question

1) I have an aquareef 400 dimensions 132cm long, 52cm wide and 73cm deep, is the light going to cut it or would 2 be required and at this depth what lens...I was thinking 90

2) think it will have been asked before but if light is adequate for my tank what light setup would be best used for a mixed reef.

thanks for the great thread guys im sure ill continue to learn heaps from it

IMHO the RB Photon32 or EverGrow IT2080 will do a 4' tank just fine. I have 2 over my 6' tank and there is light shining out the ends. RB sells the 48", but it's basically the same number of leds (3 extra moonlights, BFD) just stretched out over 14" more fixture and they charge $50 more for it! That's why OceanRevive doesn't even carry the EG 48" fixture.

Ron, the Photon48 is made exclusively for Reef Breeders, that is why OR does not carry it, because they can't. We created the Photon48 based on customer feedback with the Photon32, the majority of user could not properly cover a 48" tank with the photon 32. There was major shadowing on the ends, and on top of that, the center moonligh was blocked out. The Photon48 solves both of those issues, and allows the possibility to upgrade to a 5 foot long tank without changing your light.

1) The tank measures a bit over 4 feet (120cm), so I would reccomend the photon48.

2) Our default layout has worked very well for the majority of our customers, but a custom layout can be done

Ron, thanks for the feedback. I have a 75g rimless tank so perhaps the moonlight on the center wouldn't bee much of an issue, but I don't like the possibility of shadowing on the ends. That's why I was hoping to see an actual picture or get some solid feedback from someone with the fixture. I know someone on here has to have a photon 32 on a 48" tank. Come on!! :headwallblue:

Does anyone have any pictures of a ValueLED or Photon16 from Reef Breeders over a cube tank? Did you change the LED layout or request different optics? I would really like to see the color it puts out. Thanks
