Reefbreeders/(Evergrow OEM) Fixtures D120/IT20** series

Dear all - I have some questions regarding the IT2080 and I hope you can aid me :)

# Is everybody still happy with the lamp?

# Has anybody mounted it on a spidermount? I am not that keen on hanging the lamp

# Would it fit a 120cmX60cmX60cm (47inchX24inchX24inch)?

Thanks all!

I've had mine over a SPS only tank for several months now and I'm extremely impressed. At this point I would never try another LED system.

And what is the dimensions on your system? How high does your unit hang? Do you have 90 or 120 degree linses?

Have you seen any mounts for them instead of the hangning kit?

I have a 30" x 30" x 20"h cube. I have 2 Reef breeder 16 inch fixtures above it (hanging) with 120 degree optics. The fixtures are around 12 inches off of the water and ramp up and down over 16 hours with the max being 70% blues and 40% whites.

Just got my it2080 a few days ago.. love the color and features... very satisfied so far...

Has anyone experimented with switching from 90 degree optics to 120 optics (aka no optics) and actually seen a difference in coral response/growth and/or color? Also, if you remove the optics from the photon series, can they easily be put back on?

I removed mine on one side of the photon 48 and could tell no difference in light color. It was easy to put them back on. Don't have any coral yet, so can't answer that part. I think you would need a meter to measure the difference, visually I saw none.

I have par readings from the 90 degree optic value fixtures in our 210 and they are significantly higher than another local person's readings with the same fixture with no optics (although I don't have her exact readings).

I have th nano cube 28g pro led and I want to order the photon 16 or the value fixture. Can anyone give me an idea of where to start the intensity at so I dont burn everything up. Maybe a time schedule recommended?

The REefbreeder website has an excel spreadsheet you can use to set up a schedule. I have no coral yet so can't help you with intensity. I'm running 70 blue and 20 white max as an experiment.

I have two photon32's (stock layout with 90 degree optics) over my 210gal and was wondering if someone could ballpark me some par numbers?

Standard 210gal (6ftx2ft and 25" from the water line to sandbed)
Lights are 7" above the water line.

Par at 100% each channel -
Par at 50% each channel -

Par at my current max of 70% each channel -

Thanks for the help.

oh, and has anyone found their fish to be flightly/spooky under these led's when cranked up higher? It seems as I have raised my power levels my fish are quit skittish...
