Replacement Pump for Nano Filter: 1073.008?

Hello Roger,

Will the 1073.008 work in the Tunze Nano Filter? Or is it necessary to stick with the 800.040?

If the 1073.008 will work, is it now available? I cannot find it in the online catalogue.

I will get my first 1073.008 pumps next week and I will try it out and let you know. I know they cannot be easily retrofitted in the older 9002's.

Still, I'd be interested to hear if your experiment shows otherwise.

Also, if the new pumps are not compatible with the old filters, what do you recommend for those of us with old filters who need new pumps?

Buying the old pumps at $45?
Or the new filter at $61?

In other words, how much better is that new pump?

The new pump is quieter and does another 10 gph. It is not that big of an upgrade and you can still get the old pump. I tried and it will not fit without cutting the bottom plate, cord outlet and the inner baffles out and reinstalling the baffles moved up very slightly.
