Thanks, I guess a bit of news. I'll be expanding my lighting soon. One more Radion pro will be joining the party and I'll be adding 2 t5s, 1 blue+ and one coral+. The t5 kit came damaged so sending it back for replacement and I ordered the wrong hanging kit for the additional Radion so that will have to wait as well.

The tank looks to be progressing well. You mentioned dosing Pohls when your corals pale. Is this Pohls extract? Trying to help my buddy color up his acros. They are growing and healthy. But the colors are very pale on his acros.

Yes Pohls Xtra, not the Xtra special. Stuff works wonders. I have not been dosing much because my colors are what I consider rich and almost too rich. I feel like I'm still running a little higher nutrient load than ideal, but still within normal and for the most part all the acros with the exception of a couple look really good and or improving. In my tank, I'll add anywhere between 2-4mL of the Pohls when I do. I used this technique in my ghetto tank with aggressive carbon dosing and it worked awesome for me.

It's always fluctuating but phos ranges from 3-10 PPB, sometimes creeps beyond. I like to keep it below 10 (0.03). Nitrates are much higher now that the cheato is gone. I would always have 0, but now it hovers between 5-10. I'm slowly increasing the carbon dosing because I want to get the nitrate below 5.

I accidentally did a huge waterchange this weekend, and by accidentally I mean I lost track of how much water I drained. That said, tank looks great and sand has been pretty clear for a few days.

I have a qt system up and running again. I plan on adding a swallowtail male, still looking for a female, some more firefish, and when those go in I plan on getting a few more anthias. Also add some really sweet hammers. My buddy hooked me up with a killer deal:D

I thought you said you didn't have time for lps... Only sticks!!!

I love euphylia! (<--sounds perverted but I promise its not:eek:)

I DON'T like chalices, but I really like euphylia, favias and cyphastreas. I love the color and movement they add. I also love zoas, but for some reason, they don't do great for me.

Next photo update, I'll get some pics of my non-SPS:strooper:

Please, no more photos or I'll start posting pics of my graveyard in this thread.

Maybe you need to stop giving bad advice and start taking good advice:headwally::spin2:

This will make you feel better. Not long ago my tank was a graveyard. I'll post it again to keep myself in check...

Why you removed the chaeto ?

Why you removed the chaeto ?

It died. I think I sucked the nutrients out too fast and the chaeto withered. In hindsight, I should have trimmed it back much sooner but I got greedy. It was dense wall to wall in my fuge loaded with pods. It dumped a ton of nutrients back in before I removed it. Little by little I've been reducing them to a point now that things are just about in the sweet spot as far as levels.
