Scotty & Tammy's 4x4x2 SPS tank

Hooley dooley Scotty........ those macros are awesome mate. That pale skin in the second pic is stunning - white or pale colored skins with contrasting colored corallites are my favorites

Thanks biggles :)
That piece is Acropora Nasuta, it pops up here all the time so I would thin that you shouldn't have any trouble finding a piece here buddy ;)

The top down shots are sick! The corals look very healthy. FYI A local reefer by me told me about using the correct photo gel over the lens rather than messing with the white balance. Photo gels are pretty cheap around here. Depending on how but your lighting is, some shade of orange can adjust the spectrum to exactly what you see in person, with no color correction. I would love to see your high quality shots taken with the gels :)

Scott, According to Biggles, You and Jack, from the Williamstown Aquarium, conspire to keep all the nice acro's from his tank. Maybe you can talk to Jack and allow Biggles into the, Scott and Tammy acro wing. Where he to can get the "nice acro's" Thanks a lot.

Marty

Thanks Richard, it was my first time using so I haven't really messed around with settings just yet I just jammed it in the water and started shooting  I will try and find some more info on the gel as I've never heard of them down in Aus but I'm not exactly a huge camera nut either ;)

Great top downs Scotty! Your corals are so healthy. Very nice to see

Thank you Conor :D

Now Marty I don't know what lies biggles has been spinning you but I've never bought a single acro from Williamstown aka Jack. I think he maybe using me as a scape goat for something but I haven't quite figured out what yet!

As usual - great looking stuff!

Thank you Greg :)

Hi Dan, we have a Canon 650D with a Canon 100mm f/2.8 IS macro lens, I'm not the best with it buddy I just point and shoot

Hey Scotty,

Long time admirer and thread lurker. Your reef and corals are spectacular!

But, having gone through similar growth myself I just wonder what your thoughts are on when or if you're going to do something about the "overgrowing" of your tank. I opted to "start over" as it were, but I'm interested in hearing what others are thinking when they reach that point. Do you think you're close or do you think you have a while to go before the tank gets overgrown or do you think you can manage with regular trimming?

Anyways, awesome reef and thanks for sharing!!

Joe
