Scotty & Tammy's 4x4x2 SPS tank

Keep doing it mate,i love hating you for the reasons i do:beer:
I'm good but a bit tired with the tank. For the last month every other day i spend a lot of time putting my hands in the tank and remove hair algea:(
Things are slowly looking better:)
Thank god you upload these photos and keep my reef fire(jealousy:p) burning:wave:

I know you do but I post them just for you Mike :lolspin:
Good to hear things are on the up mate, just keep at it and you will get there my friend ;)

Buddy what's the order you place them?
I tried the exact same bulbs but i got a very white/yellow result which you don't,from what i see in the pics.

Why is it Scotty that every time i check your journal there are no bloody pics mate ! I thought the top downs were stunning btw, once i'd scrolled back for ten minutes to find some pics that is............. :rolleye1:

It's like an acro desert on this page Scotty and i'm thirsty :deadhorse1:

I think I asked you the same question on your thread the other day biggles :lolspin:
It wasn't that long ago I posted pics now c'mon biggles! I just had a few replies that was all
Hope your well mate :)

Wow absolutely amazing mate!! Definitely one of the nicest tanks around Aus!! :)

Thank you :)

Yes you bullied me into posting pics as i remember it Scotty. I'm good thanks mate, can you remind me what parameters you keep please - and don't make them up like Sahin.......

I am sure I asked you months ago to post your whole filtration system details :headwalls: ...I :reading: your journal at every update, but the details never arise...I bet when they do you'll be telling us you use twin turbo UGF's and kevins thick woolly coat as post filtration. :hmm4:

I have to agree with biggles on this one, more pics please! I realize you just posted some not too long ago, but more is always welcome.

I am using a similar bulb comb as you, but no actnics. I'm considering swapping one or two bulbs out for them. I feel like I might have a little too much light for the corals up top.

sahin my apologies mate
I'll give you a section by section rundown in the direction in which the sump works.
1st chamber is for overflow (no socks just straight dump)
2nd chamber houses my heater & feed pump that feeds UV, rowaphos and rowacarbon in TLF 550 reactors that all return into the 3rd chamber
3rd chamber is the RE BK supermarin 200 skimmer
4th chamber is refugium with 1 piece of LR with Caulerpa and a twin T5 light.
5th chamber is for return pump :)
If there's anything I missed just ask and I'll take another couple of months to reply again :lolspin:

I am sorry about the whole no pictures bud, life has been extremely hectic as of late and I haven't even done a WC in over 2 weeks  if you all knew the reason you would understand why but as we speak I'm waiting for the tank to drain as I've finally had the chance to get one done! :celeb1: if I get a chance I'll take some FTS tonight

Get an actinic in amongst it mate I seriously think that it is a vital spectrum to have! Biggles will agree with me on that one! (For a change) :lolspin:

Thanks for the numbers Scotty, i run very similar with a bit higher alk.

Fancy ripping into Scotty about his lack of filtration updates Sahin - speaking of which, how come you never want to know about mine..........:p

Scotty is spot on about the actinics

Sorry, mate I wasnt clear...but I quoted silly billy Bigglesy in my post and hence my post was directed at Biggles. Not you mate. You are always forthcoming with info regarding your tank and we all appreciate that.

In any event the above info is a nice summary and I'm sure is useful to other as well as it is for me. :)
