just found i have a mantis shrimp on my hands. I saw it fall off the the lr at lfs, didnt know it was a mantis shrimp at the time. I was wondering what it was so i started searching for hithhikers. I kept seeing pics of isopods and mantis shrimp, and became a little worried. I figured i catch it and take pics to get an id on it. I posted them a while ago and pics came back as mantis shrimp. Now have to deal w wife, after i tell her i need another thank just for this shrimp, yeaaa me :headwalls: The last pic is what I think is bubble algae, can anyone confirm :spin3:

ps I had seen what rock the critter had gone into, so i just picked up the rock a few days later and tapped it - and out came me prize

I found 5 large bristle worms and 4 polyclad in one of my rocks last night when I remove the sixline from my cube

My new rock work for will be less hopefully less pest to hide in.

Dip your rocks in coral rx or revive. I have a lot of coral rx industrial if you need it.

hehe your getting rid of your rock, im trying get more to add to my build - and eegads on keeping a mantis - perhaps i offer as raffle heheh let someone else have the fun of keeping it - although saw a thread on here for the ultimate mantis aquarium or such - really nice setup he has going

my tank is just starting no need to keep that one piece - although it does have a lot of mollusk on it - but still not worth the potential headache later hehe - now to decide keep it, trade/give away
