SPS Shallow Reef Tank Build Thread

I got some nassarius and some astreas.. got rid of the Mexican Turbos..

mmmm well the tank is nice. I wish that you wouldnt have used the DWV Y for a return Y but its done now. and as for the bulk head threading issue. it is because you are not supposed to thread on the outside, its a different threading, you thread on the inside, again for being on the presure side i wouldnt like to have seen that, but its done also. i didnt see if you changed that or not. over all it looks cool though.

I couldn't agree more....I made the mistake of rushing into ordering some nice SPS and although they aren't dead, they aren't thriving in the slightest. I think in the long run they will make it, but, defitnely take your time.
 
Clown this could of been covered but why did you decide on clear silicone compared to black? I have been debating this.

Also do you like mudkips?

I heard black silicone was stronger , Ill be picking up my 30x30x16 soon , hoping this guy bites at my 350 offer for his mce600

It is ashame you cant use the tunze wave maker on seamless :/ I am curious as to what pumps I will run since im just going to use a mag 5 as a return . I guess 6055's on a multi wave maker . Wondering if its going to be enough though.

Why yes it is a pokemon , Such amazing creatures and would be a great addition to your tank . Although they do not really follow the modern / minimalist look you and your gf enjoy so much.

You might want too look into a wild diglet or maybe jigglypuff . Unfortunately neither are sea creatures unfortunately.

I can't wait until you start placing sps in your tank
 
Ok, so here is a list of the stuff i need to complete this system. If anybody would like to include something in the list that might be a good addition..just post it.

-TunzeCalcium Automat (CO2 tank and Aqua Medic Guages).
-Marineland canister filter C-360
-Prodibio reef kit

Am i missing anything else?
 
Alright I don't have nearly enough time to read through this thread right now so just wanted to ask a few questions... Did you build this yourself? And how much was that reefmasters 2 digital thermometer on the front of your stand?

Tank looks amazing by the way!!
