So Steve you will mix the sand and the CaRx media on the display floor?

Sucks about the dude taking your stuff.....were you scared :D

Nah just kidding, Not long after we moved into our new house we came home to someone in our home. My 3 yr old daughter at the time found him in my sons room upstairs when she went up to get a coloring book or something.

Like Steve said.....in this kind of economy this is what we can all look forward to......more crime

Mike, i don't think Line-X is necessary when there is already powder coating. I just did it for safety purpose... Talking about safety purpose i just got ROB in my very own garage with gun point after we got back from dinner with my sister. I'm pretty sure it a fake gun but my wife and baby was in the back seat so that ahole took my wallet, wife purse etc... If i was in the garage alone, i would challenge the guy but darn wife and kid safety is more important... Now i feel embarrass because a Sergeant in the Marine got robbed by some dude using plastic gun ..... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

What! Well you did the smart thing... With kids around I would have done the same thing. With just the wife... May god help the poor bastard, cause Mrs. Hop is a packing too!

yeah, but that stuff eats at you for years. Maybe not someone in law enforcement, but regular Joes, there's always that kernel of anger. I don't really know how to describe it, but maybe a combination of guilt, anger, and victim.

Chad, i have to go change my diaper right after the dude left (you get the picture). I was on my knees crying and begging like a little asian hahahaha. No man, i feel embarrass cuz i am a SERGEANT in the Marine Corps with 12yrs and combat experience and Martial Art instructor but i have to let the guy punk me. Thanks god that i was more concern about my wife and daughter safety. If my ego kick in at the time, they both will be in danger.

No Chad, the reef flakes going into the tank and the Calcium media go into the Ca reactor duh..... :D

 home defense is structured around a marlin 1896s .44 lever action. The original assault rifle;) Mrs. Hop likes the Bushmaster AR-15/M4 equivalent. But ah yes... the 870 is always in the safe:lol:

Seriously glad your OK and you can put that nervous energy into the tank;)

HOP, my Remington was custom made just like the M40A1 Mil spec. AR-15 is nice but i already have the M16A1 fully automatic :D.

Cool! We have the select fire bushmasters (suppressed) and the UMP in .45 for work. Don't get to play with them nearly enough though:(

I totally agree. this nation has forgot about the rights of victims... Oh wait, there are something life 370 something rulings for suspects to every one ruling in favor of victims:eek:

But anyways, I've been looking at steve's equipment list here and it's making me drool! I've been rethinking some things... like the closed loop pump. Will you be running the battery backup system for the tunzes? I was looking at that yesterday.

Ive been enjoying reading your thread. Nice build...that is some nice equipment. Looking forward to seeing it all up and stocked.

Terrible situation about that scumbag in your garage. You did the right thing thinking of the baby. Ill say this...thank goodnes it was YOU who was there and not the wife and baby alone. Everything comes around; he will get his in the end. Glad everyone is safe.

Keep up the nice work on the posting and your build

HOP, i am looking at a natural gas generator from Home depot for the power back up.

Finally put a deposit on the house today. I will be moving in by the end of March. The tank will find it way to the garage mid March and will try to get it up and running. What i like the most about the new home is the breakers box is in the garage :D. I will have the electrician coming over and run couple breaker for the tank.

How long do you think it will takes for my tank to be ready for corals? I plan to add corals 2-3 months later.... What do you think? What is the best way to expedite the process :D

Come on Steve, you know there is no best way to expedite the process! In fact, the longer you take, the more chance there is for success. You've waited this long eh? ...Or was that a joke?

I figure it will take 3-6 months to get the tank cycled. I don't want to take short cut either. No joke at all Jon...

It is so hard to stay patient. Hopefully there will be some good stuf on your rock to keep you interested enough in the micro world until you can add corals and fish.

I guess rule #1 is don't go into any LFS!
