the foxface doesnt bother anyone at all, the desjardini sailfin and powder blue plays with him from time to time thats it.
well as of now their diet is cang chua ca and occasionally thi kho or ca kho twice a week. i found that SPS love it more the LPS. you can overdose on nuoc mam depending on the brand you used :D

Update:

I decided to setup my new tank in the garage instead of the living room. I know Colorado will be cold in the winter but with proper insulation and a gas operated heater i think it will do the job. After talking Reefkoi i gain more confident with the tank being in the garage.

does this mean you have to park the car in the den?? :D

lol at least you wont need a chiller.

now you can make the stand one piece if it goes through the garage door!

can you blow out a wall to make one side viewable through the garage to the den?

BTW, I HOPE THIS THREAD DIES! THIS WAY YOU WILL STAY IN SOCAL!!!!!!

I promised the wife with no cutting or drilling. May be a 1/4" hole on the wall for my RODI hole... Yeah, the car will be part on the street or may be infront of my garage.

I think it is ok to make 1 piece stand now :D. I don't want to stay in socal and suffer with edison.

Please Colorado can have him.....:-)

What happened to Fliger? He must be stoke now his team inherit the Diesel Shaq Dady.

Nah, no need to trade for anything. I just have the tank in the garage, one of these day she will run it over with her car and i will have my reason to go bigger :D. I plan for bigger house later after my baby get older and the wife is back to work.

Christ, that is Aquarium Obsessed the Sfiligoi pendant. I was gonna get that one but $1799 for each pendant will get me in a lot of trouble :D. Luckily, Dav at Coralvue willing to do the Custom pendant for me. I am still debating should i do all 400's or combo 250's and 400's. Even though electricity is cheap in CO but it add up really quick.

As for the waveboxes, i try to achieve 2.5"-3" of wave on that size tank. Therefore i use 4 instead of 2 or 3. My water level is 2.5" below the brace so no splashing if i calculate it right :D. IMO, wavebox is the best because it help keeping detritus in the water volume and get remove by the protein skimmer.

BTW, i no longer have the 400ext. My new toy is the H&S A-300 3x1260 and Elos NS 4000 protein skimmer. Both rated for 1000g system. I am looking at a very heavy bioload :)

Fish list:
2 pairs crosshatch or 2 male 1 female
10 purple tang (I copy Moonpod)
10 Yellow tang
50 - 60 green chromis
Vlamingi tang
Dussumieri tang
Blonde Naso tang (Pair if possible)
20-40 assorted anthias
Golden blenny
Scott Fairy wrasse
Lineatus
Mystery
golden hromboid
Pylei wrasse
Arabian pseudochromis
Harlequin tusk (australian)
labouti fairy

That is all i can think of at this point :D

That is some fish list.:eek1: Will you have any room left for anything else/;)

I still have plenty of room for more fish :D. I am not worry much about the fish load because my two monster skimmer will sucks everything out of the system.

Bart, I like the Garage ideas so i don't have to worry about having stuff all over the living room or my house full of moist. I will get together with the local reefer and hopefully some of the are handy. I will build a little fish room with my tank being in wall. I will have couple 4x2x12 tank for QT and prop... You are more than welcome at my house.... :D

I have the real protein skimmer lol. Unlike yours hahahaha.

if that is true then why do you need 2???

I like it big and powerful :D. My BK400ext is more than capable to handle the bioload but i want to run the H&S A-300 just to see what is going to happen :D
