strange behav from female clown

koranAngel

always on ** at work
my female clown is rather acting really strange and dominant i guess

just wathching them now the female is taking nips on the smaller clown n he is going crazy around the tank
she will go up to him stay there a sec or 2 then take another nip

now the smaller clown is staying at the back of tank away from the female

im not too sure if its attacking or mateing signal

any knows what it could mean???

also she wont let other fish come near the anonome not attacking them but rather pushing them away

How long have you had them and the anemone? What types of clowns are they? What sizes are they?

It all sounds like normal behavior if you do indeed have a male and female pair. Unless she is tearing chunks of fins off of him then there is nothing to worry about. They will work it out once she is satisfied that she has been beat him into submission.

Does the smaller one do a wiggle like he is having a seizure when she attacks? That is a display that he is accepting her dominance.
