Yes it was nerve racking, but we had a plan and let gravity do it's thing.
I will hopefully have my scape figured out soon!

Looks superb! Following this build.

thanks, more to come:bounce3:

lol if I can physically get out of my house through the mounds of stuff, sounds good! When are you hoping to do it by?

I am sure the last thing you want to do in the middle of moving is to scape a tank! As you know I have a relaxed time line. I have started, but nowhere near finished. Let me know whenever you want to come by to give me inspiration!

This should turn out to be an epic collaboration!
Absolutely epic :D

Tagging along to see things develop.
stay tuned:spin1:

This is a quality build! Looking forward to seeing this wet. Any further updates for us?

As a matter of fact, I have a few updates that I can share…

Set up my bean animal drain system this weekend...

You can see my return coming up through the bulkhead on the far left. I went from 1" rigid PVC to 1" flexible PVC, then reduced into a 3/4" manifold that will run along the rear of the top of the overflow. It will tie into two 3/4" loc-line connections.

The trickle and full siphon drains go from 1" bulkheads to 1.5" PVC

The emergency drain runs from a 1.5" bulkhead straight up into 1.5" PVC

Had to make sure all went together as planned, before things were krylon fusioned!

Looks good Tyler! I'll probably mimic what you've done when I set my tank back up and get my new overflow made.

Thanks Jordan, Aren't you are still going with an external overflow?

Another major step compete"¦
I have the new overflow box siliconed in place and have secured all plumbing and bulkheads. I think I am ready to do a wet test to make sure all is good with no leaks and the plumbing functions properly. Keeping my fingers crossed

Excellent news Tyler!!

After you've done the wet test, what's the next step?

So far so good, I did find that the gate valve for my full siphon is leaking at the knob and I'm not sure how to fix it? I tightened the only part I could underneath the knob, but it made no difference. I'm thinking that I will need to replace it?

Yes lol. I'll simply copy you with the bean animal and return, but it will be on the other side of the display. Overflow will be a bit different as well of course.

That doesn't sound good. Are all seals inside in place? Maybe it's defective. Good idea on the test for this very reason.

Took the gate valve apart and identified a small o-ring inside that could have been the issue? I reassembled and everything seems fine now. I will let things run for a while and maybe get another as a backup, just in case.

Here are a few pics of the big day!

We've been waiting sooooo long to get this thing wet!
