Yes the Octura propellers are much better in design in terms of diameter and pitch. The only thing is they aren't exactly easy to find

What's nice is that these have 3/16" holes already so you won't need to drill them out to fit over the rigid tubing.

I was having a HUGE problem trying to widen the hole to 3/16 (Only got one out of the 4 I purchased/drilled...) Do you think the following propeller will fit the 1.5" dark gray thick-walled PVC: http://www.funrcboats.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=OC1435PL? It has a diameter of .35mm (1.38") and the PVC has a listed ID of 1.476". That seems really close, and I know the more room in there...the more flow.
What do you think? I just can't deal with paying for shipping on more propellers, only to destroy them again (not to mention my fingers) trying to expand it to 3/16...
Oh I don't know. I can feel quite a bit of pressure on the output of my mods. If you make the casing longer at the output (without slots), it will concentrate all the flow and increase pressure as well. I still think adding an eductor would work for this albeit unsightly to look at.

YES, they work really good. I thought you'd like to know about them. I have about 20 different sizes I've been testing. As mentioned in my previous post model number: 1270 is too big (not enough power) for the the mj900 (works only out of the water) but might work awesome with the mj1200.
Yes, no extra drilling needed for them to fit, they slide on nicely. I used a "C" clip to hold them on so I could change them as needed. And shorten the notch on the impeller so it matches the same on the prop.
Also, if you plan on doing dual props make sure you order 2 right hands or 2 left hands. They come in different directions.
use every single drill size from the starting diameter to the finishing diameter. one step at a time, taking a little bit more out with each increment.
also if your using a hand drill get someone else to hold it to a table pointing up, and turn it on to high speed. then you grasp the prop with both hands, hold it between your thumb and forefinger, REALLY good. get a great grip, and push it down slightly onto the prop. you dont want it to catch and grab, let the drill do the work.
the less you take off with each increment the more it will keep itself centered and save you from breaking it.

I was doing the incremental drill bit sizes, but it was still hard b.c I didn't have anyone around when I was doing this...so I had to figure out a way to do it with just 2 hands.
At least I got one working prop done...I would have been REALLY ****ed if after all that I couldn't even get one mod to work.
