With 1/4" acrylic it needs to be packed well.
Which pump and model are you using for the 36" skimmer?
I found a blueline 30hdx that I'm gonna try first.

I just ordered a 36 inch skimmer from Jeff. I received his wet dry and just opened it this week. He needs to use about 90 percent less packaging and lower his shipping costs but I guess at least it was safe.![]()

Try raising the water level in the skimmer just a bit. Aim for all of the brown material to be in the neck. You shouldn't have to clean the body
1262 would be more in line with the mag 9.5
The only difference between the 1260 and 1262 is the impeller. if you have the 1260 get the impeller for the 1262.
thank you for the prompt reply. im currently baffle-less. i did build an acrylic box for the ins135 to sit in so it has a stable depth. i can always make another one for the vs3-30. would the -30 benefit from the upgraded venturi? i do think my mind is made up to purchase one of these skimmers. now to save up......
It is not the impeller that is the difference, it is the volute. The 1260 has smaller openings than the 1262.
