The most AMAZING buy today...a 1.5" Conspicillatus Angel!!!

+A on trading one of your children for it, I will do the same if I found one like that

wait I get it ....this was a joke right...ha ha .ha.. i think...i mean i hope....but this is a very whacked out world we live in.....God help us.:spin1::spin1:

I sold one of my kidneys not too long ago. I'm just waiting for the right "trophy" fish or coral to come along to part ways with one of my lungs. ;)

I totally understand. Organs are over rated. Anyway if one good kidney and lung fails can always hook up the dialysis and ventilator close to the tank. Maybe even figure out how to use dialysis machine to do water changes on off days..

Smart reefer could potentially figure out how to use a ventilator to support a reef as well

All kidding aside i think i saw an automatic water change unit that is based on the dialysis machine concept.

....don't laugh; but dialysis machine pumps can and ARE used for dosing. Seriously.

Back on topic.....I hope Wayne's enjoying his healthy, happy eye-candy. Cheers.

wow...this thread turn for the weird for a moment :hmm5:

Any update on on the little guy is doing?

Talking about fish/coral and price, it's all in the eye of the beholder; that's the way with anything.

Thanks everyone. It looks like it's doing very well and is very active, but I still don't see it feeding much. Granted it's so small it doesn't need to eat much, but still it'd make me worry less if I saw it actively eat.

Good luck with this fish. I picked up a 1 inch baby joculator to go with my existing joc at the weekend and it is already eating small mysis. I collect a 1 1/2 inch interruptus at the weekend. I'd love to see a picture of your pair.

Congrats, what a beauty!

I have a kidney that will be going on Ebay on day to pay for a gem tang. It has already been broken in with craft beer & I'm still standing so it is in perfect working condition.

Also, someone told me if you cut off a part of your liver it grows back like a starfish's leg. I have not done this yet, so try this at your own risk :)

I am assuming she is still staying in her caves? She could be eating a bit more than you are able to see since it's so dark. What are you feeding?

R.W.

She actually comes out of her caves a decent bit. I see her grazing on algae every once in awhile. I feed her and my new Interrupta Prime Reef, Mysis and Brine. I like Prime Reef because it's a bunch of different blended foods and there are bits small enough for her to eat that my Interrupta usually ignores.

I guess she is eating a bit or she wouldn't have lasted this long. I'd just like to see her come up to the top of the tank and actively eat when I feed them, like the Interrupta does.

Wayne - I think that you should try the shredded clam route...she is eating (I can see it in the video) but without foods with fat and protein it will be a very slow demise.

Thats some great advice, High protein and fat foods will give her more energy and weight gain. I love seeing these fish at such a small size, it is extremely rewarding raising them.
I wish you luck with her. Have you started treating her with any prophylactic treatments?

Well she was unimpressed with the clam. I bought the Hikari clam on the half shell and minced the clam very finely. My Interrupta loved it though. I also bought frozen baby brine shrimp and Cyclop and gently turkey basted it in her general direction and she didn't really eat that either.

I still see her grazing on the algae on the side on the tank though and it seems like she grabs things out of the water column every once in awhile so she's still eating. I think she may still be too small to eat any frozen food of any substance yet. I'll keep on feeding her though...time will tell I guess

Thank you. I don't dare to treat her yet. She's way too small and delicate right now. I want to get her eating well before I do anything else.

try lrf...
the variety of fresh seafood in there seems to provide many of my picky eaters with something to chew on...
have you tried live blackworms?
